Never again - Believe the reviews, i wish I did

Ok, i never do this. But I have to leave a review.

I purchased a $2000.00 leather coach from Sears in Ottawa. The set-up delivery. The day before delivery I got a call saying it would be here between 9am-11am. I waited..at 10:30am I get a calls saying it will be here within 1 hour. I waited. Nothing. At 12:30 I phoned and the person (real person) says that the sears calls are not accurate? Ok, so why call?

Anyway, the sofa arrives and is damaged. The delivery guys don't want to move it off the truck so the tell me to send back. I do. I call sears, the lady who sold it to me says that if i send it back its a big issue and I should have kept it and asked for a replacement. ok..noone told me that. So, NOW i have to set up a NEW delivery to get the damaged Sofa Back, and then wait for a third delivery to get the replacement back.

Finally, two weeks later, I get the damaged sofa. Two weeks later (today) I am waiting to get the damaged one removed and a new one. Yesterday, I get a call saying the delivery will be "Between 12noon and 2pm" at 12:17 today, I get a call saying it will be here within the hour. I wait, its now 2pm. I call sears. The person on the phone tells me "the calls are not accurate." Again, why the heck even calling then???? I've been waiting all for this, three times. SHe then says, "In the system it says it will be here between 9am and 6pm."

Never again, NEVER will i buy from Sears.

Love seat sofa

The worst customer service ever . I purchased a love seat sofa from Sears southgate center in Edmonton on Jan.30,2015 but due to low quality and after several follow up and attempts , it was collected by Sears late Oct. Now after more than 70 days and visiting and calling and checking all the info several times , I have not received my money yet.

leather recliner sofa

BEWARE SEARS COMMITMENT TO QUALITY
I purchased a Daniella II sofa from Sears which was delivered Jan 5, 2016. When the drivers assembled it there was a large gap between the right section and the centre section. I was told to call customer service. I called and was told I could have a refund or $96 dollars off the purchase price. I had already bought matching tables, chairs, rugs and lamps so I really didn't want to have to go shopping for another couch. After speaking to three different service people, they offered to send a repair technician in a few days. The next day I pulled the centre console down. It is supposed to be used to hold drinks. When I pulled it down, two screws popped out and now the console is not attached on one side. The sofa was delivered new in carton and was defective and in only two days screws were already popping out. I do not have kids and the sofa was not abused in any way. I again called Sears and they offered to have a repairman look at that too. But I figured if after only two days the sofa was already falling apart, I would cut my losses and buy a quality piece of of furniture from a company that actually cares about their customers and the quality of the products they sell. So be warned the Daniella III is the exact same sofa as the Daniella II only a newer model. It's made in China and they are selling it for $2,200.00 The customer service department seems overwhelmed and doesn't appear to want to put forth any real effort to help resolve issues. I have attached photos. This is definitely not the SEARS I remember from my childhood. So sad.

dining set

I never never never buy anything from sears from this moment.
it is the most awful store I've ever seen.
we bought a 7 piece dining set from the sears furniture and they just delivered the table with no chairs and after we contacting them they told that your order was just for the table. And we call them more than 15 times and show all of the documents and numbers and explained them that the order was also for the chairs and this inconvenience is because of a problem with your website and you should fix it and send us the chairs. They didn't even listen to us and finally they didn't send the chairs and also they told you should pay for the return if you want. we called the bank and ask them to dispute the order and the banks called them and they were forced to pay for the return.
But I am really mad at them because of this awful behavior.
Never buy a furniture from them.

Bedroom and dining set

I will never do business with Sears again. The "free delivery" was for "curbside only". There was no prominent mention of this limitation anywhere on the website. When you order some very heavy and expensive furniture for delivery you expect it brought into the house, not dropped at the curb. I am beyond outraged.

Furniture delivery

I had a completely unsatisfactory experience with Sears and will never buy from Sears again. I purchased 3 items from Sears, 2 bookcases and an ottoman. The expected date was 3 weeks away and was to be between 7am and 5pm. The evening before the delivery date, I got a phone call saying the bookcases were not available so that order was cancelled. I stated that I still wanted to ottoman delivered the next day.
I took the day off work and waited around all day. No delivery. Finally, at 4:45, I called. The customer service person told me the ottoman was available in 3 to 5 days. I said, "it was to be delivered today". She told me that it wasn't going to be. I cancelled the ordered.
3 days after the expected delivery date, I got an email telling me the bookcases were not available. And a few days beyond that, I got an email telling me the ottoman was unavailable.... a week after it was to be delivered and a week after it was cancelled!
I wrote Sears and email telling them about it. The email form asked if I wanted to be contacted by phone or by email. I checked phone. About 2 weeks later, I got a standard email saying,"Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for shopping at Sears!". Ridiculous

Reclining Sofa

Bought a new recliner couch from Sears last Christmas and within 10 months one of the seats had broken - it was still under warranty and sears came in and said it was too expensive to fix and they would replace it - we picked a new model and had the two worst delivery guys come about a month later. Horrible delivery guys - could not follow instructions (told them the couch would not fit through the garage door - but they had to see for themselves...), extremely rude, and just plain awful. Doesn't Sears train their staff? Customer service by phone is equally bad - unless you request a supervisor (we found an article that said Sears has outsourced their customer service phone staff to an offshore location - and you can tell!).

I purchased a bedroom suite from this store,I got a very good deal,product is very modern looking,very pleased all around,I did have to wait about 3 months for delivery, otherwise everything went well

New furniture set

I came in a month ago , with my family, in hopes of finding my son a new set of furniture for his bedroom (bed, mattress, cabinet etc.). The service was exceptional, the sales person was able to identify our immediate needs and direct us to products of our liking. The prices were very affordable, and the quality of their products is well above-par. Highly recommend everyone to give this place a try before going somewhere else.
