Weed control

How can a company keep on calling for more business when they did such a bad job previously? I was so unhappy with the work they did in the past that I said I would never use them and yet they keep on calling year after year saying they can do better. Well, they blew it the last time and there's no way I will give them another chance. My lawn is too valuable and takes too much time to make it look good for some company to come in and ruin it.

Dealing with Greenweed/lawn was a completely frustrating & stressful experience ! We can confidently say that we would never recommend their services to anybody looking for lawn care. Greenlawn (lawn care services)

Dealing with Greenlawn was a completely frustrating & stressful experience ! We can confidently say that we would never recommend their services to anybody looking for lawn care. Below are some of the reasons and experiences we have had with this company.Hopefully this review helps others save their money & time instead of relying on false promises made by Greenlawn.
- Omitting of key information that should have been shared with customers + inconsistent information shared by all their representatives: When we signed up for their services, obviously we expected that our lawn would be taken care of – this basic service they claim they provide. However through our experience, we realized to our frustration and dismay the reality was otherwise. When they pushed to sell their fancy named services including weed control, they conveniently omitted that the program really did not target weeds control. We had signed up and paid upfront for their services only to find out that weeds still existed and multiplied on our lawn. We phoned them several times for them to come take care of the issue right as weeds spread fast, only to be informed that we needed to sign up and pay for another program separately for weeds. It appeared to us that their strategy of not providing all information upfront helped them sell additional services to poor unsuspecting customers - more money for Greenlawn ! What they didn’t tell us was that the program was a general spray but did not tackle individual weeds. Many weeded patches on the lawn were therefore missed allowing for those weeds to spread and multiply through the lawn. Frustrated as we were, we had no choice but to sign up for additional services/programs incurring additional expenses !! Despite all that, we had to keep phoning them back again to either to 1) request weed application 2) remind them they need to come back for the application as the weeds keep coming back. Also note that their turnaround time is long too – at least 3 business days. Weeds multiplied and spread everywhere !
- They advertise service calls in between applications, but the reality is that it was our headache to keep phoning them, spending 1/2 hour each call explaining the dissatisfaction with their service. Representatives are trained to repeat phrases 'I understand but...' and 'I apologize but...' , unfortunately they offer no solutions to your weed problems. Turnaround of their services are slow and can take up to 3 days for their technician on the field to call you back. By then weeds already spread to other areas of not only our lawn but neighbouring lawns as well !
- Apart from withholding of the above information at the onset, what they also didn’t inform us about their ‘weed intensive care program’ was that weed control was weather dependant and required cooler temperatures (less than 25-28 degrees). Again, we were mislead into believing that any weeds on our lawn would be taken care of all through summer. The week of July 22, 12 we phoned them back to inform that weeds were taking over our lawn again (note temperatures that were lower at under 28 degrees). Despite our reminders that week, they only provided fertilizer application, not weed control. Weeds merrily multiplied on our lawn again !
- Technicians: Their technicians tends to make their own decisions about your lawn condition, from my experience sometimes even before they come to your property. Our preference was that technicians serviced our property on days that we were home so we could better address the issue and ensured they treated the entire lawn. However it appeared that their technicians preferred to show up when we were not home !
Overall, we spent hours on phone with their customer service, repeatedly explaining the poor service we were experiencing at each call only to our wasted time, added frustration and no solutions ! From our experience with Greenlawn, the issue of weed continued through their service period. What a waste of our time and money!!!

Weed Control & Overseeding

Get a phone call offering a service. I clearly state that a large patch requires seeding. They promise they will do as requested. Happened to be home when guy shows up. I ask him about seeding the problem area and he says he knows nothing about it. He's only spraying for weeds. Someone else will come for seeding. Week after week pass by...still nothing done. I call to enquire, Green Lawn says they will be there sooon. More weeks go by. I now decide to lay sod because temperature no longer suitable to try growing from seed. I call to cancel all services since it is no longer required. Days later seeding guy shows up when I am not home and leaves invoice for seeding. Call company to ask why guy shows up after I cancelled the service due to their tardiness and I will not pay for something that was no longer required. I am promised a manager will call within 48 hours. Still no call from manager. I keep getting invoices in the mail and make additional calls and again promised a manager will call. NOT ONCE HAS A MANAGER CALLED AND I AM STILL RECEIVING INVOICES. THIS COMPANY IS WASTING SO MUCH OF MY TIME. THEY DO NOT DO AS THEY SAY AND KEEP SENDING INVOICES!!! I don't know what to do to stop these guys! I suspect they are going to get collections involved to get money from me. Going to BBB next if I get one more invoice.

Name should be Green Weed

Terrible service. The lawn looks awful and it has more weeds than when we cared for it ourselves. We need to keep calling for them to come and spray the weeds and they come whenever they want. There is no difference after each visit. It seems they do nothing and last time they were here, they left an invoice for a service we didn't ask for. Dishonest business practice and terrible service. Please don't waste your money. Wish we had read some of the reviews before we signed up with them...

Alright, Dissapointed

We found this company ad in the mail that arrives at our home every week. As we were looking for a well established, organized and well-reputed country, we thought "green lawn care" was the company, but unfortunately it wasn't, they job had been done in anyway i had expected. We had come to "green lawn care" quite a while ago, and as I moved recently, I was in search for a company to do my service this year, i came across this company we used. I wanted to let you know, if anyone of you are looking for your garden work, remember to look for the true professionals to get the work done, because the landscaping part of you house is what everyone get to see, not the inside!

Green Lawn Poor service

I had very bad experience with this company, almost from day one. Their tech reps often reported completion of services that they never did or at best partially did. I did catch them when they only did application on the front yard and left an invoice for a complete service. Had to call the office to bring the tech back to do the backyard. Overall I did not see value in their service,weeds became more than before the grass did not get better. The only the thing I gained is the many flow up phone calls and a lot of headache. I will never consider to do business with them any more and do not recommend them to any one.The office people are even worse than the technicians. They are all masters in dishonesty. They try to drive their clients crazy by sending frequent invoices for services that was not done. When I did not give up, they hire the collection agency to chase me for $40.
They are evils.

Weed Control

Awful.
(a) Upon weeds appearing, called for service; they failed to show for another 2 weeks at which point I had already pulled them by hand
(b) opted for aeration and extra fertilizer but asked to apply it in the late fall. They applied it at the end of August, rendering it mostly useless
(c) cancelled service, and they continued the contract. It took several attempts to finally cancel the service.
(d) constant phone calls to undergo additional services

Never again.

annual lawn care

The services were done infrequently. The aeriation was done in the summer time, the signs were not posted displaying the products that was spread. We did not want the service next year but they renewed our program and forced me to pay for the 1st service.

Lawn Care Specialists

The work on site was poor. Weed pulling was never done (although paid for). Aeration was done mid-summer and incorrectly at that. As a result of the service, my glass has more weeds than it did before and I now have grubs as well. The customer service department did not thing to keep me as a client. They also failed to show up and charged me for the service.... however I work from home and no one was there that day.
