My parents contracted Encore to replace the windows in their house (Spring 2018). It has been an arduous and frustrating process for several months now. Encore postponed the work date several times and with little to no notice. They cited their crew was overworked and overbooked. First off, that's not my parents' fault as the client. That's a management issue. My parents paid good money for Encore's services. When the Encore crew finally did show up, they did the work, but it felt rushed. My parents found out during the first rain storm that one of the windows was leaking! It's been weeks since they first informed Encore of the issue, and every time it rains, the window leaks and incurs more water damage. Every time, my parents have to chase Encore to try and get them to fix the problem. The window is still leaking. It's like pulling teeth. It's clear to me that they are not prioritizing the issue. As a company that replaces windows, Encore literally has one job to do: install windows that do not leak! It's been a stressful experience for my retired parents, and until Encore demonstrates that they are willing to fulfill their contract for services paid, I would not recommend this company at all.
- Company Response
This is unfortunate, we were there again last night to further investigate the source of leaking. We went into the attic ( the customer has never been into the attic) and found that the roof vent above the window has been leaking and water trickles down behind the siding and ends up on top of the window. We suggested a water test to confirm this and suggested a home inspector use a moisture meter to measure the amount of moisture above the window. We responded promptly after every leak as we take this very seriously.
