Encore Windows & Doors

We've been working with Encore Windows for a few years now, slowly replacing all of our windows. While the initial installation was a bit of a disaster (they were trying to replace our bay window in one piece rather than 2 pieces so it would look better on the outside but after 2 failed attempts at getting the window fitting properly, they had to replace it with 3 separate), it was their dedication and genuine and sincere approach to make it all right (even at their own cost) that made us go back to them time and time again.

We've replaced virtually all of our windows with triple glaze and the difference has been absolutely remarkable. For years we dealt with condensation on the inside of our windows anytime the temperatures dipped below -10C. Now, they're completely dry and we no longer worry about mold issues. While triple glaze is more expensive, we have found that the price difference is negligible when you see the end results and the difference it makes.

In addition, we got the solar shield low E glass and it's absolutely remarkable what a temperature difference we've experienced. With our previous windows (western exposure) in the summers if we didn't pull down the blinds our kitchen and bedroom were easily 30C+ on a hot humid day. Now, it never goes above 24C, even without the AC on so the amount of electricity we're saving by not having the AC running all the time is amazing.

We've worked with Dave and Diane in the office and they've always been very helpful, attentive and considerate of our needs. In regards to the installation - we've gotten to know Mike very well now and he's amazing. Always professional and gets the job done well and quickly. They show up on time and the job site is clean when they leave.

We've liked working with Encore so much, we've also had them replace Christine's mother's windows and front door. We highly recommend them.

I live on a noisy street and was having trouble sleeping. Came across Encore's Bquiet windows online. I spoke with Anthony and he helped me with my purchase by not only promptly replying to my emails and calls, but by also enabling me to see a recent installation of the Bquiet series nearby. The installation was fast and professional, and the staff was very helpful and enthusiastic. Not only that, the windows are AMAZING! After four years of sleeping with earplugs, I am now able to sleep earplug free and like a baby. These windows are worth every penny.

I contacted Encore Windows, ask for an estimate, an appointment was schedule right away, and the windows were delivered and installed as it was promissed, everything looks great with very happy clients. The result was so great that I going to have my windows also done with Encore Windows and Doors, i can't not be more pleased with the results, thank you very much Mike!!!!

The master bedroom in my condo faces Bloor Street East. Traffic noise, pedestrians talking and sirens from ambulances and fire engines bothered me at night.

In another property, I had tried using Plexiglas for soundproofing but did not find it effective at reducing the noise. An Internet search led me to Encore Home Improvements, and a check on HomeStars convinced me to get in touch with that company. I am glad I did. From start to finish, I was impressed by the professionalism displayed by the staff of Encore Home Improvements. They really strive to do a perfect job.

The soundproof windows look great (actually you don’t really notice them, which is the idea). They were installed almost two weeks ago and they work. Traffic and pedestrian noise have disappeared. Sirens can still be heard but seem less close. Strangely enough, so far I have noticed them only during the day and not at night. I am sure they are still sirens every night on Bloor Street near the fire hall just east of Sherbourne. Probably because my sleep is deeper I have not heard them.

I can't beleive these guys! Encore came in and replaced a security office door and installed security glass in our rolling doors. The pride these guys took in the work is reminisend of how things were in the old days. When they were finishing up I went to take away the garbage but they already had done that. When I went to sweep up the work area. it was cleaner than the rest of the shop. I had window cleaner in hand but they also had the glass cleaned. I had to nail them on something so I really started inspecting the door. The contract said the existng hardware was to be used and to my surprise they put new hardware and didn't charge me extra. I phoned the owners and ask them who do they think they are? providing this kind of service, they shrugged and said this is their norm. Thank you Encore for providing me with an Encore performance.

In 2010, I purchased a condominium with a wonderful view of the St. Lawrence River. It also came with a view of the highway that runs alongside it, and noise! I thought I would be able to adjust, but the din was terribly intrusive, day and night. I finally decided to do some research into soundproofing windows, and came upon Encore Home Improvements and their BQuiet Soundproof windows. I sent an e-mail and got an answer within 24 hours. After that, things moved quickly. Anthony came down from Toronto to take measurements and confirm what was best for my needs. The order arrived on time and installation was completed promptly by Michael. I am very satisfied with the results. I can still hear some traffic noise (this was expected, as the windows cannot eliminate 100% of the noise), but it is much less intrusive, and I can sleep soundly at night without ear plugs. Some of my neighbours have come to see and are impressed with the results, not to mention the interior aspect of the finished product. The building will be replacing the exterior windows within the next few years, so this wll only improve on the noise reduction that I have already experienced.

The only minor problem encountered was a delay in receiving my warranty (apparently a postal code mixup). But I have it now, so that has been resolved.

I have no hesitation in recommending Encore Home Improvements. I found Anthony to be responsive to all my inquiries and concerns, and Michael was kind enough to show me how to remove the windows (though I might need a refresher in a few years)!

The ordering was made easy, Anthony educated me on the various products available on the market, the installation was clean and very fast. All questions were answered within the same day of email...overall, a great job. I love how my house looks from the outside and inside.

After speaking to a few window and door companies and listening to their suggestions; I finally came apon Encore who asked me how I wanted my walk-out enclosure to look.I had a drawing that the others didn't care to look at and Encore took my drawing and made it into reality. My walkout enclosure looks great- they even matched the colour. I highly, highly recomend ENCORE

We live in a small community in Acton, ON. Our home is 35yrs old, and we are renovating to update, and make more energy efficent. We were referred to Encore, and are glad we were. We replaced all of our windows and 2 patio doors. Our installation was completed on time (there was a written guarantee for this). Our house was cleaned so well when they were done that if it weren't for the lack of draft we felt in the living room now...you would never know our house was a construction zone for 3 days.
We couldn't be happier...money well spent!
