Corner sofa bed

Placed an order from a shopping centre they were showing their sofas. On the day of the delivery, they've informed me that they made a mistake in making our sofa, instead of a corner sofa bed, they made two sofas: a corner sofa and a two seater.
When trying to put the sofa in the room, he ripped off a socket from the wall,the sofa was made with the wrong fabric and we didn't even get the cushion in the floral patter we were meant to!

Sofa set

I wish I would have read the reviews here first. Sofa set overpriced for the quality, didn't look the same as what was delivered, once it finally got delivered. It took about 6 tries to get it to me and once it did, I couldn't wait to get the chair out of my home. It smelled so bad, it was stinking up everything else in my place. All my furniture and clothes stunk from it.

Lady in store claimed that a good leather cleaner would fix it. Needless to say , the mold was so bad, I was getting ill. I insisted it be replaced, going to store several times because calls weren't answered.

Day came to replace it and there was a dusting of snow so I was told truck can't come. I said I will go to truck. So put the chair in the van and drove it to the Brampton warehouse to get rid of it! At least nothing stinks now.

Armoire, dresser, dining table, hutch

If its any consolation to you all. Today marks 2 years I've been waiting for my stuff. I reported to the better business bureau and Marley never responded to them either. Im going in there to raise hell tommorow. My armoire has been there for over a year on the floor and she won't deliver. She has refused to refund my money

HELP ME! This store is closing and she ran away!

I purchased a full 4 pc sofa set and paid in full in August 2011. 
I didn’t get delivery until october . I called her and she told me I get it the next month but no delivery! There was no call in the phone until today.
I went to her store but I was shocked ! This store is closing down and there is a new owner. 
Unfortunately, I researched reviews for 4 U Furniture Centrepoint after I got back home.
Am I too late to get money back? Please, help and contact me if anyone can give me advice.

Paid in full, ongoing delayed deliveries, faulty furniture

Same as everyone's story. With my father, we had bought a full 4 piece living room set. First peculiar thing was that Marnie old us "cash or debit only. No credit card." Normally this would raise a few flags but for the price and quality of the furniture, we did not object. After payment, that's when it all went downhill.

First delivery wsa scheduled 2 weeks from when we bought it, and no delivery was ever made even though i took the day off to wait for it. My father and i returned to the store and she said there was a high volume of orders that had to be delivered and that they would come that Friday between 9-5.

Friday comes, 5pm passes by and nothing shows. Finally, 4 hours later the delivery shows up. (this all happening after we had bought the items and i had gone home and was shocked about the reviews). Odd enough, the 2 delivery men (father and son) would only transport the furniture inside, but would not open the package. Luckily, my father was smart enough to make them write on the invoice that they refused to unpack it.

They left and we got down to taking off the coverings from the furniture set and hoping we didnt have a damaged product that some people have experienced in the past. Everything went well until the last piece from the set. Already, the covering itself was wet and as we took it off, it revealed to us a complete hole in one side of the sofa (this is a leather sofa so it doesnt interact well with water).

Called Marnie and told her about the problem and reported it and she said "she'd see what she can do." we took picutres of both the damaged covering and sofa and brought it to Marnie. From there she said she'd have to a repairman come in to fix it.

One month goes by, with my father and i going there every single weeknight demanding to know when they would come to fix it and the same response "he's away on vacation" or, "i cant reach a hold of him."

Eventually we had enough, and after much argument, she agreed to deliver a "new" sofa, but first wanted to pick up the old one 1 day prior to the "new" delivery. Learning from the reviews, we said that she would only get the old one until the "new" one was delivered.

The "new" sofa ws delivered on the day of delivery, but 3 hours late. Odd enough, it was a floor model delivered on the back of a Ford truck! Being somewhat skeptical, i inspected the sofa and what did i find, holes on one side as if someone had kicked it with cleated shoes.

The deliveryman said he didnt know where it came from and that he was just hired that day to do deliveries. Reluctantly, we accepted the "better" of the two and when my father came home, we called Manlie.

On it went with us going to the store for almost 2 months as we tried to get an undamaged sofa. At one point, she called her "manager" and he said flat out there was nothing we could do and that we had to "deal with it."

Upon hearing that, my dad became infuriated and threatened legal action.

Two weeks passed by, and she said she had a "new" one that would be delivered to us September 7th. Yet again, it never showed, and my dad being pissed off had enough and threatened to call the police.

Magically, once that was said, a brand new one, plastic-wrapped and well covered was delivered to us in perfect condition.

Overall, even though the furniture was fine in the end, it was not worth all the stress and time.

On a side note: She was especially made with me and my entire extended family since everyone had bought sets from her. Aunt's issue was resolved when she just walked out with a floor model and put it in her rental truck.

I am glad to hear this place is closing down, but im sure she's just moving somewhere where nobody knows her so she can continue her scam.

I will be keeping a close eye and if i see this store pop up anywhere, i will make sure to tell everyone about this scam of a store.

Full payment given, but no product delivered

Purchased sofa set September 9, 2011, paid in full. Was promised that sofa would arrive by 3rd week of September. No sofa yet. Store is closing and many people in store arguing with salesperson about lack of delivery. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE. Going back today, September 28th to get money back.

Sofa Set

Purchase sofa set in July, and never get delivery. We are facing an "artist", not a regular business person. The store will shut down anytime soon. If you are afraid of losting your money, please call me @905-946-8972 ext. 1220 during business hour. Fear not, my friend, the justice shall prevail.

Stop buying

My story is exactly similar to all of you people, so don't want to write anything. Today when we went to her store to get our money back, luckily there was a security guy there posting a sign (saying the store will be closed in October) on her window. She promised to give us our money back tomorrow. We are also going to print all these feedback/reviews and submit to the security management of Center point mall.
Wish us luck.

The most important lesson I learned in my furniture horror story with Marnie is to always research and review a business or store before making a purchase. In May, I brought almost 1300's worth of furniture and was told by Marnie it would take 2 weeks to a month. I thought it was oddly strange that the check I wrote her was literally cashed within 12 hours of giving it to her. Long story short, I waited a full six weeks before I walked in and asked her what was taking so long. There was always an excuse, her driver was sick, I wasn't home even though I never got a phone call indicating the delivery was at my house. Over and over, she would reassure me that it would be this date or that date and nothing ever happened. Several weeks went by, fed up, I walked into her store and literally freaked out. Marnie, in turn, stated I was a hysterical young lady who just liked to argue. She stated she would write me a check and send it to me via mail. Of course, this was unacceptable to me and I demanded the money up front. I was lucky in the sense that I have legal connections and used them. As a result, within a week, the money in cash, not check was returned to me. !300 dollars in cash? This woman is a con artist and smart. After all, cash means I have no proof of doing business with her. Thus, I couldn't sue her even if I wanted to. And I don't, since I got back my money. After reading all these upsetting reviews about months passing by without getting a refund is so appalling to me. Your hard earned money is sitting in a bank account accumulating interest for her! If you take her to court and win and how could you not win....she will be responsible to return all of the money you paid her including the pre and post interest. I plead with all of you not to give up. This store is on the consumer watch dog list which speaks for itself. You have every right to demand everyday and every second of what is rightfully yours. She has this great ability to cut you off but don't let her. Keep calling her, go into her store, and threaten legal action. I am wondering if anyone has ever called the police on her because this is so clearly a case of fraud over and over and over and she needs to be stopped. Good luck and don't give up.

wow...i am so sorry I did not come across these reviews before I went into this store. my story is no different than these complaints. I made my purchase in Feb 2011, it is now Sept...7 months later, 5 delivery cancellations with every excuse Marley could come up with and still NO furniture. Our truck broke, driver had an accident, driver broke his arm, and so on. To say I am disgusted in my dealings with Marley is mild. She is a master con artist and a THEIF. I am a independent business owner myself and I am horrified as to how she is still in business. She has NO customer service skills, is unbelievably rude. Don't bother calling her to complain or get an answer, Just show up at the store. It gets you a bit further than trying to deal with her on the phone because she will never call you back. I was denied a refund twice. If I do not receive my furniture at the next delivery date, I will take her to court. This dishonest business needs to be shut down! We need to band together and shut them down.
