Krause Renovations

PLEASE DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!! They started in January and it took them to August to complete the work. We did not have bad weather or anything to prevent them from showing up to complete the project. Then items we the owners purchased were not deducted off the bill. The sales person says if you have it here they will install at no charge and come to find out they want to charge for it. The sales person made a lot of false promises and did not put it on the contract. Please if you do work with these people have them itemize the work they will complete in your home. They will stick it to you 10 times over. They completed my bathrooms in the basement and it stinks to high heaven. They knew it and will not have the plumber come out to fix the problem. Please!!!! Please!!!!! save your time, energy and money never use these folks.

Krause Renovations/Heating & Cooling.

Purchased entire new HVAC system from them in 2011. Had issues in the first month. Complained multiple times that the unit was not working properly and was so loud that the neighbors actually complained. Each time they would come out they said it was fine. It finally turned into a block of ice and they replaced the defrost module. Complained when they finished that the units still sounded loud and that I was concerned. They said it was fine.

8 months later the compressor seized, TXV valve failed. Compressor under warranty but my warranty for labor expired 3 months earlier. Even though we complained multiple times over 2 years the owner (Larry Krause) said that there was nothing he could do and if we wanted it fixed it was going to be over $1000.

Needless to say we got someone else to come in and they are going to repair it for $400. I would advise anyone considering a new HVAC system to avoid them and use someone reputable like Bluedot, Multimarine Services, or BGE Home. The owner does not seem to care about after sales service as well as their service manager/VP.

The work they did on my kitchen is amazing. The workers were so polite and respectful. The final cost of my kitchen was surprisingly unexpensive. I can't wait to get my bathrooms re-done by this company!

They are unprofessional,they misrepresented their abilities on their contract and committed breach of contract. Contact MHIC they have several outstanding caases against them and they used multilpe licesnse numbers so ask about all of them. Jim one of the owners is the biggest BS'er you would ever want to meet.

This contractor is horrible! I hired then to renovate bathroom and add whirlpool tub. The contractor did not pay attention to detail and did a poor job. I had to point out errors the entire way through and in the end the radiant floor heat was installed wrong and in reply Jim stated "I did the best job I could". Jim place three 3X5 mats on the floor just like bath mats instead of following the manufactures instructions and the contract by covering the entire floor. Before the work was completed they insisted on the punch list. They wanted final payment before the punch list was completed and the wiring on the tub was dangerous.
