Friendly, Respectful, and Careful but lacked communication in the final. We contracted them to do our Countertops in February 2022 we were given the appropriate expectations and certainly think that they provided a beautiful counter for my center island. It is massive and was no small feat. With the construction activity in the kitchen, we really did not get to look closely at it for a few weeks which happened when we were cleaning and noticed a lot of filler in holes that did not look like natural stone. This was not a huge eyesore for me but I know it is there and was no mention that the piece needed so much that we would notice. Again, the island is so beautiful that nobody else notices. The problem we have with the job is the edging on the counter by the stove that we thought was just shadowing and for a while, we just ignored it until a friend pointed it out too. The marks on the edging look to be staining from pallets where it sat on its edge. We did have a long wait for the counters so it is foreseeable but, when I emailed to ask how we can clean it off...we never heard from the company again. We now just have to live with the defects which do leave the feeling of not getting the value we paid hugely for and since being referred by a large local kitchen company, we trusted they were the right company for the job and did not shop elsewhere. Sad end to an otherwise good experience.

Professionalism, Punctuality, Responsiveness Almost a year since installation so we want to share some good and bad. While it was a very expensive renovation, Jim is absolutely an amazing talent. Willing to listen and put to paper every aspect of my vision, knowledgeable direct our dreams into a real kitchen that was doable and he did so right in front of us on paper. Totally changed the experience for us and thankfully he was able to do any customizations I wanted. They returned to finish up and made sure all was done on their end. Unfortunately, the job was tarnished by the contractors they referred to the other parts of the kitchen not following through in the defects within their work and install quality not repaired to date, and now will not be. We had to buy new hardware to resecure our dishwasher as nobody could do that in the end and many issues have been reviewed for the contractor that we were willing to overlook and now just see as defects. Unfortunately, we could not get a reply from the Granite company either on how to clean the defects in the face of our counters sadly either. Thank you Jim for your skills, although our photos did not make your profile images, we love our kitchen and get many raves about it amongst the many criticisms over the contractor install flaws. The photo is of my husband re-grouting the floor to fix the contractor's flaws in the floor. March 2023 which is why the rating is lower. I gave you a Four because we had to install our dishwasher to the counters after it tipped out on my son's leg. In the likely-to-recommend portion, you lost one star for each bad referral and one for the dishwasher. We contracted Roy as a referral from a large kitchen company in January 2022 for a complete kitchen reconstruction. Roy is agreeable and kind and very personable but to the point where we allowed him to delay the actual repairs that are bringing this review to light. We endured a dented stove that could not be repaired as was before the start. A business landline is no longer working after they moved it. light covers are all cracked from overtightening, and woodworking in trimmed areas is not completed to match the other side. The painter left such a mess of sprayed paint on our windows and floors that it took us a long time to get it all off. The wood floors in my dining room were damaged and floor grates broke. The backsplash tiles are crooked all over, but most of all issues, are the kitchen tile flooring. I purchased all the tiles and flooring which we bought extra for another part of the house too. The installation process used was to kick the spacers out causing his staff to damage so many tiles that we had to break them in the floor and have new ones installed DURING the project which cost us so much more to install the floor as it was and we were now short for the materials and out the cost of flooring for our other project. Right after the project was completed we found cracking in the grout and it was brought up immediately but he was busy with other projects so we monitored it for his available repair. Noticing some floor tiles were also moving we brought Roy in before Christmas 2022 to again look at the project repair. We were then told that he had to finish a job and it would not be until late January AND we were told that WE would need to buy more tile for the repair to be done if we did not have them already!!! Repair didn't happen. We did wind up running into Roy again at the local hardware store where he said it would be after the job he was doing so by the end of February. Again, didn't happen. At this point, we do not want the grout fixed as the event is exhausting us so WE have to personally re-grout the floor with a properly mixed grout ourselves. The one thing I made clear about the backsplash was that I wanted it to be done right because I would be staring at it daily. I can honestly say that I notice each piece that is not aligned properly, every single day and it does irk me. We paid a great deal for the kitchen and thankfully we could work with and tolerate the delays and were decisive and patient the entire time but, the ending is always the deciding factor that does separate the professional firms. We liked Roy and his crew and enjoyed multiple laughs throughout the project which is why this is so disheartening and disappointing.

We ordered the windows in the fall of 2020 for our cottage. Price was held for the spring install in our cottage. a couple of weeks before they were to install we were called to say that the order would be behind a month and installed May 19th. We had decided to sell the cottage a couple of weeks before hearing this and it was sold by the time they advised us with our closing being May 20th. The sale expectations were that all would be done and this was voiced to the company who then, suddenly, could install on time to avoid the inevitable legal issues involved in a property not closing and causing a chain reaction in deal fails. Once install started, the staff was working well. Stayed distant and wore masks. No real issues to speak to but they left the window on the upper floor open with no screen and a squirrel gained access. The next day staff seemed unbothered by their letting the squirrel in and the company never bothered to comment on it either. On the third day of installation, the installer changed again to another guy who was far quicker than the first crew and could have possibly cost me a day less in work loss as i had to stay at the cottage for the three days. Overall, the company using COVID as an excuse was off-putting since they were still able to have all the cottage windows installed in a couple of weeks following but said they had no parts to build them. That was a really fast build and change of schedule which we believe was unnecessary. They were quick to request the review but have yet to ask if all was good. Not really the performance we were expecting. I have deducted one star for the scheduling, one for the squirrel, and one for the lack of communication. I am editing my stars given for you saying you have nothing on file. Using the same reply to all who give you a review that does not make you shine is not professional as you DO have emails from me and clearly did not intend on replying had we not reviewed you. Sad business practices. Dont bother replying to make it look like you actually cared about our project.
