Extremely disappointed and speechless with this company, Mattamy~~~ We bought the new built home from Mattamy and the closing date was in Sept 2016. By looking back, starting from the pre-delivery inspection, I can tell something must be wrong with this company. During the pre-delivery inspection, the service lady tried to talk as minimum as possible. I could feel apparently she was not happy whenever I found defects and flaws. She would just became expressless, to create awkward moment around you, to make you uncomfortable to stay there. She even complained why I paid "too much attention" to "cosmetic" things. At the end she only allowed us to address 7 items and wrote them down on the pre-delivery confirmation. And then your real trouble of dealing with them just started. They would just try to push you away. Even you filed 30 days report with Tarion, they would just try to ignore and skip you by not replying your email or giving you all kinds of excuses. There are several major defects they left un-repaired without any following up with us. I've been chasing them from Dec 2016 to now, the end of Aug 2017!!!! At first they denied it to be defect, for example the detached eavestrough, until I got on to the roof by myself and took the picture where the defects. Then their warranty service manager came and told me he was so surprised to see such defects and blamed his staff for not notifying him in time, and gave me a deferral letter and promised to get them repaired by end of this April 2017. Then they just DISAPPEAR like being evaporated. Absolutely no following up. I tried to be polite and not pushing them, but even you began to lose patient and start pushing them, they just DON'T CARE!!! They reluctantly threw me couple of emails in between whenever I started to lose patience with them. But their replies were always like "sorry I was sick for the last week", "the weather was bad", "will be onsite these coming months", etc. those kind of bull sh*t, and then still never showed up. I really doubt the company Mattamy really exist, or maybe they only exist in the cyber world... There are too much like those to complain about this company. Terrible terrible terrible terrible experience with Mattamy. I just couldn't believe they are one of the biggest home builder in NA. How come?! I feel you can just throw any words on them. But, they just simply DON'T CARE!!! Or maybe, really , actually they don't exist!!!

I'm still very happy now that I made a right decision to choose For Saving. I would not hesitate to recommend them!!! Ask for the salesman Tony when you call this firm. The job was done on June 7, from 10:00am~12:00pm. Fast and excellent! A Hui and his assistant (i should have asked his name) were among the most professional technicians I've ever seen, not only technically but also with regard to customer service. I arrived very late at 11:30am due to some other issues and left my tenant dealing with them and signing the closing paper before that. When I arrived I found they've already done the job. So quick!! They actually finished the job at 11:20am, 10 minutes before my arrival, and were waiting for me, and welcomed me with big smile. I chat with A Hui's assistant for a while when A Hui was tidying up last pieces of their tools. A Hui's assistant was very kind and guided me to check the job and answered each of my questions. In the backyard I dismissed him and began private conversation with my tenant (to check with him their job). We thought they would have left and were talking there for about 15 minutes until 15' later A Hui's assistant politely went back into the backyard and asked for allowing them to leave if I hadn't any more questions. They were actually also impressive to my tenant from my conversation with him. My tenant is also a guru on this. He was very satisfied with their job, too, so far. Plus he told me they made their work site very clean before and after. Impressively they have sheets covered from front door all the way into the basement seamlessly and left nothing even a footprint besides the well installed equipment. I believe the job turned out to be a little bit complicated from the very beginning. Because my basement was finished and leaving the pipes of the old AC completely closed in the ceiling. Their salesman Tony did a good survey on his first visit and offered me no-leaking warranty even if the old pipes can be used. And he also gave me a more reasonable price than the other contractors I interviewed if the old pipes had leaked after testing and they would have to install new pipes. The compatibility of my old furnace fence, the expected new cooling indoor exchanger and outdoor condenser was another issue. The healthy of the old fence decided whether I should choose 1.5 ton or 2 ton new AC. Tony was excellent and provided me with a very considerate and perfect solution. Yes, finally I must conclude with big thanks to Tony, their sales guy! He well made all the above happen. He was very responsive, patient, amiable, analytical, considerate, as well as knowledgeable enough to help me make wise decision. His recommendation of A hui's technician team for installation was also a right choice!!! So far the AC has been working perfectly. I waited for almost 2 months to test the AC they installed before writing this careful review. And will definitely give follow-up review later regarding the condition of the AC in the future.
