I am a repeat customer of SWAT's, so I figure I owe them another review. Some very stubborn squirrels have been attacking my house, trying to get through the 100-year-old woodwork. Rob came out and covered the vulnerable areas with metal. He then came back on a follow-up call when the squirrel tried to get in around the edges, reinforcing it even further. I delayed the review for a couple months to see if the measures would be effective, and it looks like they are. I now have a very angry-looking squirrel barking at me when I leave my house, but at least it's not getting in.

I hired FMS a while ago to install an outside socket on my house. Vince and another workman (whose name I am blanking on, sorry bud) came out and were able to run a power line from the panel out through the double brick wall. They put in a nice shielded socket and even answered all my dumb layman's questions. And my dog loved them too, so that's a plus.

I had Hoerner come out a couple months ago (yes I know I'm slow to write reviews) to deal with a clogged sink. The guys were able to trace the problem to some shall-we-say 'creative' plumbing the previous house owners had done both under the sink and in the basement. They re-plumbed the drain pipe into something a lot more sensible, and snaked out the clog. I appreciate all their efforts; it looked like a pretty stubborn problem.

I hired Roofs On Homes to replace a segment of flat roof that had been done improperly by someone else. Chuck came out to provide the estimate, and at the same time, at my request he inspected the surrounding area for other defects. He laid out a pretty comprehensive plan for addressing all the issues. The crew were able to start within around 2 weeks. They replaced the bad segment with wrap, board and adhesive membrane, and repaired multiple flashing and gutter issues I had in the surrounding roof. I expressed interest in the process and Chuck took time to explain the various methods and repairs as they worked. During work they found some rotted areas and defects that unfortunately required additional cost, but the repairs to those spots now looks significantly better than what was replaced. Since the work was completed we've had 3 rains, 1 of them heavy, and everything looks to be working exactly like it's supposed to. The only gripe I have is that a fair bit of construction debris ended up getting scattered around my property and even after cleanup I'm still finding chunks, but that's it really. Overall, I'm pretty darn satisfied.

Unlike some of the other services I tried to reach about my squirrel problem, SWAT was east to get in contact with and set up an appointment. Derrick came out and assessed our issue, finding where a family of squirrels had broken into our old soffits. He determined it would be a two-man job due to safety concerns, so he came back at the next most convenient time with a colleague. They closed up the holes with a metal cladding and put a one-way gate. Since then the squirrels seem to have vacated the soffits. Overall, I am quite happy with the work.

I had a previous review here but am replacing it with a more current update: although we have discovered some problems with our renovation, Perfect Painters is working with us to hopefully resolve the issues.

We called The Mold Guy after noticing some kind of damage in our bathroom. The representative was able to identify that it was in fact mold, show me where the water was coming from, explain the extent of the damage, and what needs to be done in both the short and long term to resolve the problem, including what I could do myself. He was polite, helpful and informative.
