We needed our shower faucet replaced and so I called Val for an estimate. He asked for some pictures and gave me a very reasonable quote, we set up a date and time and he showed up as expected and completed the work and the new shower faucet works perfect. I called Yevhen Tuesday am, as my bottom freezer of my fridge completely defrosted, he told me he would be over at 5PM, he arrived at 5 PM and I told him that I was hearing a clicking sound, he knew exactly what was wrong, gave me a quote and warranty which was very reasonable and I agreed to have him proceed. He fixed the fridge within 30 mins and checked all the various parts/lines. He wore a mask and slippers over his shoes which was very nice of him to do in my house. Now, I can thank him for a cold fridge and a freezer that actually freezes now. I will call him for any appliance repair or installation. We had long planned to replace our front walkway and steps and after much research of various contractors and reading reviews, we decided to call Falco Landscaping. We met with Paul the owner to discuss the details. He listened to what we wanted and suggested different types of stone and the available colours. He took measurements, drafted a sketch, and provided us with a quote. Paul was efficient with our time and extremely detail oriented. Paul and his team were very friendly, courteous and worked extremely hard on our project. He always called when he said he would and gave us updates. He involved us while the work was being done so that we knew exactly what was happening and also had updates at the end of each day. He started/finished our job on the schedule that he gave us. The front walkway and steps he and his team built looks incredible and added so much more ‘curb appeal’ as opposed to what existed. After having our hardwood floors installed, the last task was to install the transition strips between the hardwood floors and the ceramic tiles. The tiles were not level across the entrance way and in some areas there was at least ¼ inch difference within a small area. We needed about 18 feet of specially made transition strips. We searched through many reviews on Homestars to find someone that would be able to do this for us. After much searching and reading reviews we found Max from Nord-Ost. After calling Max, he came over and gave us an estimate. He called when he said he would, and he showed up to do the work as promised. He is extremely reliable, friendly, polite, and the quote was very reasonable. He is a perfectionist and made our transition pieces on his table saw. He stained them to match the hardwood and had them fit perfectly between the flooring, tiles and the baseboards. This guy is very talented and professional. We are very happy with the quality and work done with the transitions. They look beautiful and it’s all thanks to Max.
