While running diagnostics on our HVAC system, Richard from CoreTemp found an improperly and unsafely installed tankless water heater in our home (around 6 code violations that if remained undiscovered could have resulted in an explosion within our home)! We thought that the original company that installed our Rinnai tankless was a "reputable" company. Once he alerted us to the dangers of our poorly installed tankless, he immediately called the company that installed it, and advocated for us on our behalf. Thanks to him, he helped us get the problem corrected. He completely went that "extra mile" to make sure that it was "done right". He reminded us of Holmes on Homes and we feel he deserves his own show! He's very professional and his ethical character is refreshing to find in this business. Richard treats his clients as if they were his own family - he took it upon himself to ensure our safety. THANK YOU CORE TEMP! Words cannot express our gratitude.

Our Rinnai tankless water heater was installed incorrectly and unsafely. There were around 6 code violations including issues that could have resulted in an explosion within our home if they had remained undetected!!! They were discovered thanks to the good eye of an independent contractor we had hired to inspect an entirely different system. Our tankless unit was installed in July 2009 and we suspect that due to high volume of installations trying to meet the Aug 31st Enbridge rebate deadline, our installation was likely subcontracted to an installer that did not have Rinnai certification. We were drawn to this company by their convincing advertising, low pricing, and coverage of taxes. Can you imagine the "price" we'd have paid if we had never known the dangers of the incorrect installation? To their credit, Active Temp Control showed up the next day with experienced installers to correct the mistakes (hence the rating of "1" instead of "0"). Shame on them for not ensuring proper certification for ALL of their installers. The lives and safety of my young family were at stake! How many more bad installations are out there?!?
