We needed to update and make changes to our front yard and walkway. After consuiting with multiple landscapers, we chose Daimon based on Homestars reviews and the comfort level we had when we met. His quote was also very competitive. We weren't completely sure what we wanted, but Daimon was very patient and helpful in working through our ideas and making appropriate cost-effective recommendations. Quality products, installation, and service, coupled with Daimon's willingness to make changes mid-job, made the result exceptional. I'm usually the type of person, regardless of past dealigns, to competitively bid and evaluate every job. But, for our future landscaping needs, we'll be calling Daimon first.

We have a Symmons Temptrol shower faucet that has been a leak problem since we moved in almost 4 years ago. I'm generally a do-it-yourselfer, and started by replacing the spindle. That fixed the leak for a couple of months then it returned. Some research suggested I also needed to change the hot and cold seats so I got a full set of spare parts and gave it a try. The seats were so tightly stuck, I couldn't get them loose and didn't want to risk serious damage to the faucet or water connections through the use of brute force. I finally decided to call NCD&P hoping they had experience dealing with this type of problem. Plumber #1 showed up the next day right on time. He had no knowledge of, or experience with, the Symmons faucet. He started the repair couldn't remove the seats either. He suggested one of NCD&P's other more experienced plumbers might be able to fix it, so we scheduled a second appointment the next day. Again, plumber #2 showed up right on time. He also had no knowledge or experience with the Symmons faucet - thankfully, due to my past attempts, I helped 'walk him through' the process, shifting to his expertise when the stuck seats reared their ugly heads. He suggested torch heating to try to loosen, but warned this could crack the faucet housing. I authorized him to proceed (without replacing the seats, I'd have to replace the entire faucet anyway), and he started with his torch - success! Between the two plumbers that came out, they spent close to two hours here, and even with the second visit and the compliations they held to their originally quoted price. My only issue with the whole process was NCD&P's unfamiliarity with the Symmons faucet and my need to provide a walk-through of how to disassemble/reassemble it - but to be fair, my understanding is that this type of faucet isn't common in home installations. In the end, with my input and direction, the leak is finally fixed and I expect it to last.

We replaced about half of our windows 2 years ago, and decided it was time to do the rest. We contacted our original window installer and was surprised by the quoted price (much higher than we expected), so decided to get some competitive quotes. Richard came out for a consultation and provided a detailed quote very quickly. His price was far more reasonable than our 'baseline' quote from our last installer, and was right in line with another competitive quote. We chose Burlington based on Richard's service during the quote phase and their ability and willingness to replace old brick sills with new concrete sills as part of the job. Richard requested a very resonable deposit when we decided to sign the contract. Fast forward to installation. Total installation tool about 2.5 days, with Mike being the primary installer. Very professional and friendly. He even took the time to give our dog some attention during the work. His finish trim work was exceptional - far better than our previous window installer, and the windows look great! And his cleanup when the job was done was superb. Sills haven't been done yet due to weather. Richard offered a very fair and generous payment 'holdback' pending the sill work when the weather warms up. I'm sure that will go as well as the window installation, and have no worries. Richard's communication has been top-notch with fast and courteous responses to both phone and e-mail inquiries. It really seems like customer service it a priotity for him. Having now dealt with Richard and Mike, I wish we had found Burlington Windows when we did the other window replacements in 2009. Would gladly recommend to anyone looking for windows in the Halton area.

We had a few jobs that needed to be done that I just didn't feel like doing myself - some brick mortar repair, eavestrough sealing, and installing a new 2nd storey bathroom exhaust fan that also meant installing a roof cap. I called Handyman Matters, and Les came out a day later to review the work and provide a quote. He was on-time, friendly, and professional, and provided some very good feedback. His formal quote arrived the next day via e-mail. Tim called the night before to confirm the scope of work and the start time. He was on time, very friendly, and did an excellent job. His cleanup afterwards was excellent. I'll definitely consider calling Les again in the future for jobs I'd rather not do myself, and would gladly recommend him to friends.
