This is our second project with Bomanite. From the design through to construction and finish, nothing but great reviews. This was a big project, 3 level deck, finished stone around the pool and along the steps (40' long steps), walk down the side. The Bomanite team is professional, focused on quality, has a great eye (We had to make alterations through the project) and when it came to time to cut the deck (which is very important to avoid cracking) and get it all cleaned/prep, the work was top notch. We went with a Virginia sandstone finish that looks absolutely stunning. And while my neighbour down the street is in their 5th month of interlock madness... we are enjoying our backyard, pool and amazing deck. Really appreciate their great work. As an aside, I went back to our last project which is around the corner from me (front porch, walk, back deck in grey stamped concrete) and it still looks great 5 years later. On the service side, the reason I came back to Bomanite is because we had a crack in the walk at that house after the first winter and they scheduled us in - no problem to get it fixed in the spring. Thanks Rob and team.

Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Recognize that weather has a big impact on these guys. If it rains, there will be delays. Build a buffer into your timelines. It is just the way it is and it is unreasonable to expect an exact date. - When doing the deck cuts, listen to the crew. More is better to prevent cracking. - Go see a few of their sites. We had the designer do the drawings, but seeing the different types of concrete made a huge difference and allowed us to quickly make a decision which we are REALLY happy about. - Watch your water areas and drainage. We had one drain pipe that was too low to the concrete on the last house and it froze. It did nothing to the deck, but cracked the stucco on the house as it backed up. - Consider a landscape designer. On our first Bomanite deck we used a traditional designer - who just did some drawings. It was enough. On the second one we used Tania (Bomanite recommended) and she did 3D designs and a full layout. We were doing the project from out of the country and it really helped us make the right decisions - could not have done it without the proper designs.

We lived in Tokyo and were refinishing a host of cabinets in a home we just bought. We were very lucky to have come across Greg. Great advice, excellent attention to detail (he refuses to compromise) and in the end, an amazing finished product - everything looks new. Doing something like this without every meeting Greg first - 6000 KM away - and everything over the phone - is the best testament to his work. He also introduced me to Paul from Kitchen Fix who rebuilt a number of cabinets - who was also amazing. Great experts working together.
