Upon closing the deal on a condo we realized we needed to have the walls, ceilings and trim painted fast. Wow 1 Day Painting answered their phone immediately and set up an appointment for consultation for the following day. I had phoned four companies - 1 replied 24 hours later, another a week later and one not at all. Wow 1 Day Painting is a little more expensive than other painting companies but their efficiency, professionalism and willingness to work with us was worth it. Niall, our estimator, was very personable and communicated with us constantly and quickly, keeping us up-to-date as we negotiated the work to be done, chose colours and while the actual painting was completed. His enthusiasm rubbed off on us! We're very happy with Niall's excellent service and with how our new home looks!

We have had Don Lee and his family service our furnace for years and more recently they have been providing advice, upgrades and maintenance to an income property for my mother-in-law. They have also successfully provided some trouble-shooting on the poor work provided by another company. I'm surprised there aren't more recent Home Stars reviews of their company and work so I thought I'd like to write in and provide a very positive review for them. June S.

This is the third time that we have hired Jim to install hardwood floors for us so that indicates that we think very highly of his work. This time we wanted the carpets removed on the second floor and stairs and oak hardwood floors and baseboards installed as well as hardwood on the stairs. Jim provides excellent workmanship and very competitive pricing. He was flexible when we determined that we needed to move the start date back and was agreeable to also install new mirrored sliding doors for three closets. Jim was meticulous when it came to all the fiddly work on the stairs and aims to please. Thanks Jim

Raccoons had torn off some boards on our aging deck and had been living under there in the early winter. Upon our call to Liddle Rascals (great, clever name for a wildlife removal company) Scott came immediately, assessed the situation and provided a very reasonable quote. He did the actual work within a couple of days as we were just waiting for the ground to thaw up a bit during this warmer weather. He determined that the raccoons had actually moved on and weren't staring out from under the deck at him and made a very neat job of screening off the deck and repairing some of our previously patched side boards. Capps provides excellent service from the initial emailed request and return quote to the telephone service from Kathe (both before and as a follow-up for feedback) to the on-site service at our house. The two gentlemen on-site(one was an owner) were personable, polite, very knowledgeable and informative and very careful of my home and family while they worked. They also didn't mind my many questions about related furnace and heat distribution topics. On top of all of that they were able to schedule my duct cleaning immediately. This was an excellent experience - thanks and I will get those ducts cleaned more frequently!
