I had my driveway removed, and repaved by Westview August 2018. The job was done very late in the day, after 4 p.m., and I had read reports where ashphalt poured end of day can be sketchy. Regardless, after the job was done I did have questions regarding the workmanship, and asked for sales rep to come to house. I was told that had to give the driveway time to settle, and be used. No visit ensued. This is strike 1...if a customer has a complaint then it's not asking too much to come out and discuss the matter. There has been some loose ashphalt in spots, and the patio stone leading up to my main door has been loose ever since the driveway was paved. In August of 2019 I emailed the sales rep and indicated that I had noticed cracking in 3 spots on the driveway. He was on vacation but suggested I contact the office to report and it would be dealt with before end of the season. It's now Nov 7th, 2019 and I have placed 3-4 calls to the office from August to-date. Each time I was told an urgent message would be relayed but I am still to hear back! No return call! Strike 2. $4,000 is a lot of money to spend on a driveway, and to get no response from Westview is frustrating. We are now coming into the cold season, and if frost creeps into the cracks i will have more of a problem come spring. I also don't want some half hearted job being done now when the weather isn't optimal. this should have been dealt with late summer/early fall when I reached out to Westview.

I discovered what I thought could be a serious mold issue in back bedrooms of my home. The hatch door to my attic was covered in mold, and cIondensation. I had already wiped down the walls in the bedroom that had mold. As I always do now, I check Homestars for any work I need to contract out, as I've had nothing but good experiences with the contractors I've used. Aristides, from Cda Restoration, came out assessed the situation, and much to my surprise the immediate fix was to replace the attic door, add insulation in the attic, and install some fans in both bedrooms. The issue causing the mold was condensation, and the attic door was not sufficient to seal out airflow between bedroom and attic. Arisitede's said the mold situation should resolve itself with these few fixes. There was no need for his company to come in and do a mold removal job. He added, if the mold persisted after I have fixed what he recommended then, and only then the next steps would be to tear down bedroom exterior walls, and clean up, put new insulation, and new drywall. What i appreciated was his honesty, and integrity. It would have been too easy for him to tell me we have to come in do the mold removal and tear down work in bedrooms, and i would have been none the wiser whether that was required or not. I feel much better taking these initial steps, and as last resort doing an reconstructive work if required. The mold situation in my instance was exterior mold, and hadn't progressed to serious health levels. A good wall scrubbing with a mold removal product was all that was required. Thanks Homestars for providing me with a resource to locate legit contractors!

Rick came out to my house and of course the machine was not acting up so he suggested not replacing parts. The following week encountered same problem so i had him come back and do the work. This is why i continue to use AC Repair as Rick is not one to unnecessarily jump in and replace parts etc until certain it is warranted. Highly recommend his company!

Had issues with my refrigerator making loud noises, called in AC Repair who I have used once in the past for stove repair. Rick came out on a Saturday to give me an estimate on the repair. As it turned out the work that needed to be done was not definitive as the unit had not completely broken. Rick was honest about the job, and indicated it could be one of 3 issues, and without the unit totally breaking down he didn't want to replace what he suspected to be the issue. I appreciated his honesty and we agreed to wait until the part actually broke before repairing. Received a quote also as to what it would cost based on the 3 parts that could be causing the issue, and all repair quotes came in very reasonable. Rick answered all my questions about the fridge, even some that were unrelated to the problem. He also gave advice on how I should be keeping the airflow to fan free of cat hair from my 3 pets, and other matters. Very satisfied with Rick's business manner and approach to his work.
