During what we thought was a cosmetic basement renovation, a large hole was discovered in our foundation. A structural engineer was brought in, who then determined we needed a new foundation. Enter the Underpinners, who were one of three companies recommended by the engineer. We live in Riverdale, where the houses are old, the soil is sandy and your neighbor is just a few feet away. Daniel was great right from the start. We got a detailed quote and explanation of the process. Instead of shying away from a difficult job, the Underpinners embraced it and made it seem easy. Throughout the entire project, Daniel was either on site working or just a quick phone call away. He was very accessible even late on a Sunday night when we had questions. Working in such close proximity to neighbors, the crew were always really polite and went out of their way to keep them happy. The main crew were always respectful and tidy. If outside trades were brought in, Daniel supervised and made sure no one smoked in the house. We ended up digging down and underpinning the house as well and Daniel put us in touch with someone who could lay the radiant heating, install a combi boiler and polished our new cement floors. We are extremely happy with the results. Our basement now has 8 ft ceilings and new windows. It doesn't even look like a basement. The polished cement floor looks amazing. While it was a difficult process (unexpected & expensive renos are never fun), Daniel never failed to impress with his knowledge and readiness to help. I have no hesitation in recommending The Underpinners. In fact, we have already recommended them to 3 more houses on the street.

After reading all the great reviews on Alliance and not having any luck visiting showrooms, I called and spoke to knowledgable and super helpful Timea. She guided me in selecting the best product for our basement. We ran into a snag with our basement renovations, and Alliance was helpful in getting the supplier to store the flooring we wanted for a couple of months at no extra charge. The entire process was very simple, professional and altogether seamless. I found Timea and the other staff at Alliance to be extremely helpful and courteous at all times. The icing on the cake is that their prices were cheaper than the flooring place close to my house for the exact same make,model and colour . Highly recommended!

This company replaced our sliding glass doors to the deck 3 years ago. They have great customer service, answer all emails promptly and are very knowledgeable. If the project lasts more than one day, your house is left clean and free of tools and construction waste at the end of each day. On the first day of this retrofit, Archiel contacted me to let me know that there was less work than expected and that he would revise the price. It was over $1000 cheaper than we had planned. Many contractors would have been tempted to not do the work and just pocket the money. You can count on Sobol to provide excellent workmanship, attention to detail and high efficiency Energy Star rated windows. You will also find their prices extremely competitive. I recommend them whole heartedly.

Due to the good reviews on this site, I called Archie and received a quote over the phone. His price was the best and he gave me the website to view the products he used. The products looked good so we set up a date for him to do the installation. We are SO happy with our new door. It not only looks good, but Archie and his helper did a great job at installation. It's caulked all the way around, he removed all debris and left the place as clean as could be. Not only that but our original window frame is intact and was never touched ( unlike other window installers who sometimes damage the original frame which can be an added expense ) I would not hesitate to use him again!

While fixing the roof Jason's crew noticed that our eavestroughing was damaged. Sure enough during the winter melt off due to the plugged eavestroughing - it was apparent that something needed to be done immediately. Jason attended to our issue to get the job done quickly and efficiently with a minimum of fuss. This is the 2nd job he's done for our company and we are more pleased with his work. He is always friendly and accommodating. I feel he offers sound advise and does his best to try to fit in with our working budget. I have never hesitated to recommend him to my friends .

This is the 2nd roof Jason has replaced for me and I have recommended him to many friends. He is always very helpful by coming up with good solutions to fit our budget . I find him conscientous and honest and have always been pleased with his work.
