As a real estate investor having good contractors is really important. WPI has always been an excellent contractor and can handle both commercial and residential projects. I would highly recommend them for any projects big or small.

Accurate has done another excellent home inspection for us. We are real estate investors and buy fairly often. Accurate does an excellent job of finding items that I miss or my contractors miss. They are very thorough and are not afraid of crawling around in the attic to give great detail in the report. On this inspection the inspector was very diligent and provided us with another detailed report. We rely on those reports many years after purchasing a property. We recently compiled a detailed report on future maintenance for all of our properties. We have used other home inspectors and we found the reports that Accurate has done for us to be far superior for information that we needed for this report. Accurate is my first choice for home inspectors and the one I refer to everyone that asks.

We have done some 'interesting' inspections for you over the years. This most recent one even made the company Facebook page! haha

Well it has been 7 months since I reviewed Ducky's last. We have probably used them at least 1-2 times per month. We have a fairly large portfolio of residential rental properties. Ducky's has always been prompt, provided quality work and has been well priced. They have been able to troubleshoot leaks and other problems that others could not figure out. They have saved us money because they are so honest and knowledgeable. Here is a quick list of work they have done - repaired several leaks on toilets and sinks. - replaced old plumbing stacks with new PVC ones - Fixed a sump pump - found a leak coming from our roof and coordinated with a roofer to repair it - fixed a power vented hot water tank that another contractor installed incorrectly - replaced old copper lines and installed a new hose bib in a mechanical room - probably other items I am forgetting I do not recommend any other plumber when asked to refer someone.

We hired WPI to complete a renovation to legalize one of our basement suites. The scope of the renovation was not large but it was not a simple job. The suite required a second furnace, new ceiling with soundproofing and all areas drywalled to meet fire code. The work performed is the most challenging part of legalizing secondary suites. WPI was able to complete the job on time, on budget and passed all required inspections. The communication was excellent and the work was excellent. WPI is organized and communicates effectively. We have worked with many trades and contractors and we were very happy with the work WPI performed.

If you are thinking about hiring this company you should read my review closely. We have hired W&J on two separate occasions to install furnaces for legal secondary suites. W&J has done nothing but cause my company money and time. Below are some of the highlights of our working relationship with W&J. - lack of knowledge or laziness OR BOTH during installation - Terrible communication when coordinating times to show up and do work (this is a challenge when notice has to be given to tenants) - Telling us what we want to hear on the phone and then not following up. - Not following basic mechanical code and blaming the inspector for not catching the mistakes on rough in inspection but finding it on final inspection (Either way they did not follow basic building/mechanical codes) - hanging up on a building inspector during an inspection they didn't show up to - Not following basic instructions clearly communicated in writing - Generally not caring about customer service or the job We tried really hard to make the relationship with W&J work but it wasn't until we started working with other mechanical contractors we realized how poor they are. It is hard to put a numerical figure on how much money they cost our company in mistakes and time because it is still an ongoing issue. It will definitely exceed the $5000 mark after we fix their mistakes and factor in the lost time during renovations. This is a big number considering they only did two furnaces for us. If something isn't done right the first time then it costs a lot of money to fix. I think when it comes to installing furnaces for a secondary suite W&J is in over their head. Why else can they not pass an inspection? Why else do I have to hire other companies to come in and fix their work? If they are aware of the requirements for a second furnace in a secondary suite then why do they cut corners and do the installations incorrectly? We have since used other contractors that pass inspections with flying colors, so it CAN be done. Some stuff we have learned..... Building inspections and a permitting systems are a great thing for renovations. They will expose the weak contractors that don't know what they are doing. It is also great to have websites like HomeStars where we can share our experiences. Learn from our mistakes and ask for copies of the rough-in and final inspections. DON NOT PAY your contractors until the inspections pass. Make sure this is in your contract with them before engaging in work. This is nothing personal against W&J, as the president of my company I take full responsibility for not firing them earlier. I have heard similar stories from other property owners using them. I hope with this review is helpful. My goal is for others to save time and money and learn from our mistakes.

Very sad to see that a contractor like this has to blame the contractors they hire for their own mistakes. Such as calling inspections and drywalling before things are even done. Unfortunately some contractors are never happy even when they get great service!!

Our company uses Ducky's for all of our maintenance plumbing issues. When managing residential real estate, plumbing issues can be very costly! Ducky's has been excellent in responding to issues promptly and fixing them. There has not been a problem they have not been able to diagnose and repair. Ducky's goes over and above when doing service calls for us. They have saved us thousands of dollars in preventative maintenance. They have taken the initiate to track the parts used in our rental properties to save time when they are called out to replace an item. This was their initiative to help us save money! How many companies do that for you? I truly wish we had more trades like Ducky's. They are honest, reliable and hard working.

I am an active real estate investor. I have used a lot of different home inspectors over the years. With this experience I can really appreciation accurate. They have been the best so far and I will be using them again in the future. If you are trying to decide which inspector to use, I have tried a lot on multiple properties and so far accurate is the best in town.
