I first met Paul at my work where he just completed painting our office so after a diy job went bad I called Paul to come by my house and after making some paint recommendations and suggestions I hired him to do my basement. What I liked about him is he took the time to answer my questions and although painted my whole basement in about 2.5 days he was very meticulous and took the time in prepping the walls , repairing and sanding any bad areas, caulking the trim and baseboards-the attention to detail that made it look clean and crisp. A good paint job can certainly make a difference especially if you are thinking of selling your house and I will not hesitate to recommend Paul, in fact I hope to have him back in the new year to paint my second floor!

I had some work done by a supposed reputable contractor a few years back and had to call them back several times to fix leaks. also needed them to reroute gutters because after removing from old weepers the water drained onto my driveway causing a sheet of ice. recieved a quote to reroute but they kept putting me off for months before i got fed up and started looking elsewhere. contacted 4 companys by email or calling directly and got responses from 3 of the 4. one contractor could only make appointments during the middle of day during the week for quote but no weekends. another was kind enough to call to say they were busy but if i was willing to wait they would schedule me in severla weeks. serge sent me an email response by the next day saying he was tied up for the next 10 days but would try to see me asap. he was able to schedule me in on a busy saturday afternoon and was right on time. i explained to him some of the problems i was having and he suggested several options and sent me some quotes for the different options by the monday. we finally settled on what exactly we would have repaired/replaced and we decided to go ahead. we scheduled to have work done with serge and by the time i got home from work that day he was already gone having copmpleted the work. My wife even pointed out another area of existing evestrough that was leaking (that i didnt know of) and serge adjusted and fixed without charging me extra I was happy because this whole process took about a month from initial call to installation and i had to have this work done before winter to avoid water draing on my drivewaty and freezing it up. sege took the time to email me a couple of weeks later to ask if the new evestroughs were working fine i said they were with no leaks anywhere that i was experiencing before and i now have no water running down my drive way and freezing in the cold weather. if that wasnt enough serge sent me a holiday email....just unbelivable customer service in these busy times, and the workmanship to back it up. Its unfortunate i did not find serge initially so i wouldnt have had to do the work twice.....i will not hesitate to call serge first the next time i need anything done....and you should too if you are reading this and need any of the servicees he provides. I was very happy because i was able to get this done before wintr do my driveway wouldnt have freezing water this year

incredibly frustrating to deal with. dont waste your time and effort there are many other companies that will appeciate your business and willingness to pay for quality work and good customer service...but "better contracting" is not one of them. had some ventilation issues and problems with frosting in attic that needed adressing so i decided to call BC as i had seen them several times on holmes shows. murray the sales rep came out and assesed everything from outside not even going in our attic. he suggested we needed to add a roof vent. at the same time i needed to some bathroom vents installed on roof and wanted gutter guards installed and our downspouts removed from our weepers. he suggested for warranty purposes that new gutters should be installed so i went ahead with the work as pricing seemed quite reasonable. guys came out and did the work when they had promised but a year later i found that i was still experiencing difficulties in my attic (frost) so i decided to install perforated soffits throughout which they also did to my satisfaction. at the same ti me a had them adress a leaking/dripping gutter in the front of my house....well thats where things started to come off the rails. they have been out a few times to try and resolve but to this day i get a huge muddy puddle in the front of my house because of this dripping gutter. at same time i asked them to reroute my gutters near my drive way (understandfing i would have to pay) because water was now creating an ice sheet in my drive way in the winter. i called them spring of 2014 to get them out there to asses figuring that would be plenty of time, they came out to asses in june 2014 and here we are in feb 2015 and nothing has been done. i called charlene what seemed like once a week in the fall indicating wanted this work done (without even knowing the cost) but needed done by december to avoid the hazards of ice in my driveway again. every week it was the same answer it seemed promises after promises but i would have to follow up with a call the following week. if it wasnt for thew work they had already done i would have moved on long ago,but for me just didnt seem right that i spent the money that i did and got this kind of service. they always are pleasant on the phone but it is what they do to mask the incredibly poor service of this company. I guess the fact that this was a small job and i had already paid them in full they didn't feel the need back up their work or keep appointments..quite frankly i am astounded that their rating is as high as it is. i am in service business as well and for me a job is not complete until a job is seen through to completion at the customers satisfaction...well installation went well but it is the follow up that has led to this review. hopefully other consumers will read this and help them decide to look elsewhere. as i suggested earlier your time and money can most definitely be put to much better use elsewhere dont let the fact that these are a "holmes approved" contractor fool you

I have known Danny from Auburn for several years and have used him for various plumbing projects. Last year i called Danny out of desperation after a failed attempt at a DIY toilet replacement gone wrong.I cracked a toilet and closet flange by overtiightening so I called Danny to see if he could help.Timing was critical in that i had exchange students arriving, not only did he come the very next day to repair and replace he brought a toilet that he recommended (over the big box available brands) that ended up working great. Danny came through again when I had a nasty plugged drain in the kitchen recently , which he determined was as a result of improper vent of downstairs kitchen sink. I figured an "under the sink vent" would be the easiest solution, but Danny recommended against it - the short cut was not a fix that he preferred. The proper way was to tie into the existing vent stack to the roof, it was more work, but was the proper long term solution - in the end it was the right decision as I have had no issues several months later. Also he discovered that there was a huge obstruction several feet down the pipe which took several attempts and longer mechanical snakes to clear clot - but he persisted and made sure that there were no further blockage. He even called several weeks later to follow up to see how things were working...that is rare nowadays. Danny is extremely fair price wise but to be honest, price is not the reason i call Dan....if you want an experienced , knowleadgable, concientous and honest worker I make that call every time without hesitation knowing that the work will be done right
