Modern Appliance

I'm not posting for one repair. Peter has helped us out many times over the years. I can text him, send him a picture, he will give some preliminary advice like "don't fix it.. buy a new one", or "I know what it is, please send me a pic of the model number and I'll get the part before I come". I have even sent him texts on a Sunday and got replies back with great advice in 10 mins. Really just a really great guy with fantastic customer service skills. I run a Facebook group in Aurora, ON and I recommend Peter to the 9,000 members any time they ask. Never heard a bad story. He could probably charge a lot more due to the great word of mouth, but he still has reasonable prices. Paul, from Aurora.

GE Gas stove key pad alarmed constantly last night F7 error. We unplugged the stove to stop the alarm, texted Peter and went to bed. He called back first thing this morning. He explained that it could be moister in the key pad, told us to plug it back in and call him back. We waited 1 hour and no alarm. He could have made the service call, and charged us all kinds of money instead of advising us over the phone. He is now the only appliance repair service that we will use and recommend. Thank you Peter for being so honest.

We thought Peter was outstanding in every way. He explained clearly what he was doing and there was no cutting of corners. Any questions we had were answered satisfactorily. Also noted was his agreeable manner. Altogether a very positive experience.

We have had him repair several fridges prior to the oven. He does not push repair and sometimes guided us to replace an old fridge rather than repair.

Had a Maytag Front loading washing machine that was no longer pumping. Called Modern Appliance based on reviews here and was not disappointed. They were professional, courteous, timely, provided feedback, and were appropriately priced.

They fixed the problem with no parts needed.

I contacted Peter on Friday and he was able to diagnose and schedule my gas oven repair repair for Monday afternoon. Prompt and efficient. His quote was very reasonable. I appreciate that his experience in rebuilding appliances informed his approach to repairing my 30yr+ stove. I will recommend Peter/Modern Appliance to anyone looking for these services.

We needed are fridge fixed because it wasn't making ice. Peter figured out the problem over the phone. He was efficient and quick to make the necessary repairs we were very pleased.
