It was such a wonderful experience working with M&J Electric Inc, particularly with Matt and James.
I found their ad from Kijiji and I invited them over to get a look at the site where my swim spa will be located. At that time, I already knew that I will be needing a 200A service upgrade in addition to the electrical hookup of our soon-to-be-delivered 15ft swim spa.
This was when I finally met Matt. I was so impressed with him as he really know what things needed to be done and all my questions were answered even before I asked him. Of all the quotes that came back to me, his quote fell somewhere in the middle. I could have easily gave the contract to the cheapest quote but I just could not pass on Matt's ability not only to deliver, but also his willingness to work with me (and my other contractors) through out the entire process of the swim spa project. He even added for free the installation of an outdoor switch (and extra receptacle) and of an all-house surge protector, which made the deal even sweeter.
Then the contract work started and this was when I met James. Like Matt, it was a pleasure to work with James because he is a very capable guy and very easy to get along with. Since the 200A service upgrade requires scheduling with my local hydro company, they instead started hooking up the electrical wires from my basement, then off outside the house (side), then into the back where 2 electrical disconnects (one 50A for swim spa, and one 15A for the cover) were also installed. Since both the swim spa and cover were still about 20 feet away from the disconnects and my deck work has yet to start, Matt and James did a second visit to my place to continue the work after the deck frames had been installed. When the swim spa finally got delivered and the cover was installed, Matt and James came back for a third visit to hookup both the swim spa and the cover. I was amazed how easily they hooked up these complex items and all of my installation concerns/issues simply faded away.
When the scheduled 200A service upgrade came, Matt and James came back again for the fourth time to finally do the upgrade. I was a bit worried because we will be without power from 8am to 3pm while doing the upgrade. it was summer and school was just over so kids were home. Without power means no AC and no internet, so I was prepared to hear a lot of complaints from my kids. Fortunately, Matt and James finished the upgrade around noon without any issues. Power was back 3 hours earlier and everyone in my household did not even recognize the power outage.
Matt and James came in for the fifth and final visit. This time, they installed the freebies they included in the contract. At this time, I was so satisfied of the work that they had done. I feel safer inside my home now because of the things M&J Electric Inc had done. I could have given them more electrical work if I had more during those times.
The impression they left is unequalled and I will be contacting M&J Electric Inc again to do any future electrical work in my home.
