I would like to thank Gyal the technician from Airmaxx for coming out to my house today in short notice. It was my first time calling Airmaxx as I needed a SECOND OPINION ASAP. This afternoon I had my furnace cleaned and inspected from another company. I called Airmaxx after being told this afternoon that my large collector box had a crack in it and there was a potential leakage of carbon monoxide. I was told my gas supply was to be shut off until I get a new furnace which could be installed tomorrow or new parts that could take a week to arrive. It is JANUARY not the summer.
Gyal arrived and removed the motor and inspected the collector box and he showed me so I can see it with my own eyes. Not a picture on a phone which I was shown earlier from the other company. The bottom line is THERE WERE NO CRACKS. I don't need a new furnace. He also found that the flame sensor was not even cleaned as it should have been. It was a very upsetting day for me thinking about how many people out there are being ripped off in their inspections and maintenance and are being sold furnaces that they don't need replacing. A shout out to Gyal and Airmaxx for being HONEST unlike another company I had at my place earlier today.
