SERGII from Doctor Appliance did an excellent job repairing my wine fridge. First, SERGII did an assessment of the problem and discussed with me the options to proceed with repairs. Accurately, advised of the costs of repairs and what I could expect from the appliance following repairs. SERGII had all the necessary materials with him for repairs. Performed teh work quickly and thoroughly. Was neat with clean-up etc. I was very pleased with the service I received from SERGII of Doctor Appliance. I will be recommending Doctor Appliance to my friends.

We called appliance doctor because there was a burning smell coming from our dryer. The appliance technicians that came were punctual, professional and took care to explain in detail what was wrong and take time to fix all the issues. They gave advice on how to maintain and prevent the issue in the future and the charge was very reasonable. I’m grateful for their help and would highly recommend this company.

Ilya came to my house early, looked at the problem with the door latch of my microwave. He came back with the relevant part. When that didn't fix the problem he spent a considerable amount of time using creativity and ingenuity along with experience to come up with a fix for my 20+ year old microwave. I really appreciate how pleasant, clean and dogged he was with the problem.

The drainage hose on our Bosch dishwasher broke and needed to be replaced. The same thing happened to our previous dishwasher around 5 years ago. On that occasion I had contacted a local repair person who came to the house, looked at the dishwasher, informed me that he could not fix it, and then billed me $100 for honouring me with his visit (sadly, it was not worth $100).

This time I used Homestars to find a highly-rated repair service in Ottawa, Doctor Appliance, with a satisfaction rating of 98%. I can now tell you from my personal experience that their high rating is well deserved.

The repair person (I wish I could tell you his name, but I have profound hearing loss and masks prevent lip-reading) was very pleasant and professional. He quickly identified and ordered the replacement part.

The folks at Appliance Doctor provided excellent communication as well. I received a call 2 or 3 days after the initial visit to let me know that the part had arrived and to schedule the repair for the following day. We had a massive snowstorm on that following day, so they called me in the morning to reschedule the appointment for the following day due to road conditions. I actually really liked that they did this as it tells me that they care about their employees’ safety.

The repair person returned the next day, was again very pleasant and professional and did the repair work quickly and cleanly. I forgot to mention that the technician wore a mask and maintained social distancing during both visits. He even had a portable tap credit card reader, which I’ve not seen before, to minimize contact during the pandemic.

This is my first Homestars review. I was able to find this business due to the reviews posted by others, so hopefully my contribution will help others to find Doctor Appliance as well. They will definitely be my go-to for all appliance repairs in the future! :)

This is the second time I used this company both times with great success. I had a dryer repair done a few month ago and the service technician was amazing. He was fast, clean and very knowledgeable. My dryer was repaired and works like the day I bought it. It was do to this first experience that I decided to use the appliance doctor again for my fridge repair. I was very pleased to see that the technician was the same one who came to service my dryer. Same great service and fridge was up and running again in no time. Again the technician was able to quickly identify the issue. I have recommended this company to other friends and they all had the same great experience.

Serge from doctor appliance came to look at my fridge that stopped cooling. He quickly diagnosed the problem as ice buildup in my freezer due to a faulty fan in the freezer. He dethwwed the fridge and freezer. Within a couple days he had a new fan installed and the fridge is working again.

I had a very finicky problem with my 2 drawer, 15 year old, Fisher Paykel dishwasher. It started to quit working part way through the cycle, then next load it would run alright for a time or two. I finally called Doctor Appliance (after checking the reviews) to try to find out what was going on. Ilya first came in and leveled the machine before we even got into a discussion about the problem (I hadn’t even noticed). On first examination he found a worn part, as well as a glass shard stuck in the rotor. He cleaned up the machine but did not have the replacement part. I was able to get it and replaced it myself but the problem showed again. Ilya returned and now was able to diagnose the situation - a failing valve in the heart of the machine. He returned the next day with a new valve and proceeded to take the machine apart while laying on his stomach, ½ buried in the machine. In about ¾ of an hour he had the part replaced, the machine back together and working properly again. Ilya has great knowledge and skill around this complicated appliance. Ilya was punctual, professional and personable. I will use only Doctor Appliance for any future work that I might need to be done.

Sergei is the best technician. He fixed both our dishwasher and stove. He knows his business and is very efficient. I will call him the next time we need a repair. Great work and really appreciated.
