Professional from start to finish. From booking the move to the actual move. Everything went smoothly. The guys were on time, very polite, and wasted no time getting the job done. The six review

This review has two parts and I strongly recommend reading it all before hiring this company. The good- The Six arrived on time and were actually great and careful during the physical move of our items form our old home to our new home. They wrapped everything and carefully put it on the truck. They were efficient and respectful of our old home and items.
The bad- The problems arose when a second team was called in at our new home to help unload and reload. The second team had some members that were in a great rush and therefore were not being careful. During the unpacking one mover tried to unwrap a mirrored cabinet on his own. He then proceeded to drop the cabinet breaking the item (which they did repair). As the day progressed items were were hastily moved though-out our brand new newly built home causing severe scratches to 3 different areas of our floors. They offered to have one of their people come in to repair. We told them as we had a few spots that needed to be fixed from before we would prefer if our contractor took care of it and they agreed saying get it done and well pay for it. This is where our problems got much worse. We hired a company to repair it. It required hardwood being ripped out and replaced. We didnt ask The Six for the cost of the extra hardwood or the cleaning that was required after. Simply the cost of the repairs to the damaged that they caused which were $1000. Once we sent The Six the invoice they said it wasnt a proper invoice and they needed more information which we tried to get but the company could not provide us. At no point did The Six specify that a specific type of invoice was required or that we were required to get a quote first (I have the emails to prove this). They have made us feel like we are trying to rip them off for $1000 when the other company we got to quote us said those 3 repairs would cost $4500. We chose the less expensive company as it seemed more reasonable trying to them a favour- but no good deed goes unpunished. They took weeks to respond to my emails outright ignoring me and claiming it was due to staff illness and when they did respond they just keep saying they need a better invoice. We paid The Six in full ($7000) on the day of the move in good faith since they promised they would pay for our repairs to the damages that they caused. Be very careful when dealing with them. They will tell you they cover everything and then the insurance company needs more info and they will claim they are working with you when it it the last thing they want to do. Im sure theyll respond to this review claiming they have tried to work with us and what they are asking is standard etc and try to make it seem like were not doing part etc. I wonder if theyll respond to this review faster than the emails

Six Moving was amazing to deal with. The booking process was quick and straight to the point. Sab and Shaw helped were my movers. They arrived on time, and went straight to business - didn't waste a second. I was blown away by how quick and efficient they were but at the same time, ensured all the bigger pieces of furniture were carefully wrapped and moved in a careful manner. They certainly exceeded my expectations. We finished earlier than i had thought! I would definitely recommend Six Moving to my friends and family. Thank you Sab and Shaw! You guys were amazing! I was not stressed a single bit during the actual move!

Booking was easy: they worked with my schedule and gave advice on how to prepare. As promised they called back two days before the move to ensure everything was squared away.

Moving day was smooth: Ken and Shah arrived on time and ready to move out of my dorm (with so many stairs!). They handled everything with incredible care and coordination. I was quoted 3 hours and it only took 3.5 hours.

TV mounting crew made it look easy: Came the same day and it didn't even take 30 minutes to set up what would have probably been a day long trudge for me. We got the mount and they did all the work while we sat back.

All in all, I'd recommend them any day and I'd use them again.

We hired Six Moving for an office move. They were fantastic!
They arrived promptly on time, were polite and professional. They had great communication. The elevator broke and they handled it great!

The commination with the office staff was efficient and easy.

Having used some other moving companies in the past - this one is FAR above the rest.

I strongly recommend using The Six Moving - very professional service.

1. They did an amazing job moving large and heavy furniture from one very tight location (narrow Victorian house) with many stairs to another very tight location - again with many stairs. They expertly fit all pieces without damaging the furniture or the walls.

2. They were cheerful in spite of making hundreds of trips up and down zillions of stairs with heavy objects.

3. They are good at dealing with bad neighbours. We moved from a street with the most miserable neighbours imaginable - The Six was 'grace under fire' with all of the harassment they received from our horrible neighbours (thankfully now our former neighbours).

4. They are able to pivot - we realized at the last moment that we had a lot of things that needed to be packed. The Six arranged for packers to pack our stuff a couple of days in advance of the day we had scheduled - again - at the last moment. They were so flexible.

I strongly recommend this company - and will use them again for our next move.

This review is a long time overdue. The Six Moving was prompt, courteous and professional. They made our moving experience relatively stress free even though it was pouring rain! Zara is extremely organized and is a pleasure to work with. The rest of the team made moving our large furniture look so effortless as they finessed around the tight corners of our downtown home. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and highly recommend The Six Moving.

Booked this company for a two day move with one day overnight storage. Moving out our old condo on Monday to move into our new condo the next day on Tuesday because we were getting the keys to our new place on Tuesday instead of Monday. Monday's move out went seamless. The movers showed up on time, wrapped all our fragile items and finished the move so quick. Friendly and efficient!

Tuesday comes and the lawyers and banks and mortgage company are being so slow in the real estate transaction. We had booked our move for Tuesday in the new place from 3pm to 6pm. Because clearly we'll get the keys by then....WRONG

The movers came to the loading dock of the new building and started unloading meanwhile we still didn't have the keys! We explained the situation to our movers and they said they'd unload and fill the service elevator and loading dock so when we get they keys we'll be ready to move!

It's now 6pm and the sellers lawyer of our new condo couldn't release the keys because our down payment for the new place from the sale from our old place didn't get to the sellers bank account in time. Since we didn't get the keys the movers had to put all our items back into the truck from the loading docks and take it back to storage. The moving company called and said sorry for this chaos we're only charging you half the price of our storage fees and we can come back and deliver your items the next day in the evening.

So now it's Wednesday, the third day of this real estate transaction. 8am goes by, 9am goes by, 10am goes by. Finally just after 10am the lawyer gets us the lockbox combination to access the keys for our new condo. Meanwhile, I'm frantically calling our new building management all morning because they didn't have any timeslots available for the service elevator and if we didn't move our things in that day on Wednesday with the movers the next available timeslot was SUNDAY. I finally get a hold of our condo building management and they gave us the permission to move in later and that they would notify our security to book the service elevator for us.

The movers come back in the evening to attempt to move us again into our new condo and we're unloading into the loading dock and we are ready to move our items upstairs finally!!

BUT NOWWWWWW..... because why not...

The service elevator stopped working. And one elevator is already broken. So now there's only one elevator with a huge line up to get upstairs. And of course, we couldn't shut that elevator down for our move.

The security called a tech to come out to fix the service elevator for us and the movers were so chill and so nice and waited with us over an hour for it to be fixed. Also, the company sent three people for this condo move just to move us and make it go as fast as possible because we're already moving in past 6pm (the cutoff time for moving in to our new condo). 

Now it's around 8:30pm/9pm and the service elevator started working and we're finally moving in!

So, basically hire this company now and you will not regret your decision!! Hands down the best in the city!! Thank you The Six Moving for everything!!!

I had the best experience with The Six Moving company. We were moving from one unit in our building to another and they were amazing! Great price and Zara and Alex took care of everything, including a crazy heavy kitchen island up a steep flight of stairs.

They were totally cool and treated all our possessions with respect and care. I honestly couldn't have asked for better service and treatment. I would absolutely recommend them with no hesitation.
