The person who showed up to diagnose my dryer (Pavlo) was friendly , knowledgeable and professional.
It took him no time to determine that it was the fuse (which is what I wanted the problem to be. Cheaper).
I'd recommend Pavlo at Capital Appliance for anyone's next service call :)

The service repair person seemed to get a little annoyed because the vent pipe was inside the wall and the dryer was in a very tight spot. It was like that when we bought the place. Bonuses was the repair on the spot and upfront costs. Thanks

Home star again exceeded my expectations. Thank you for an amazing experience today! From first contact call, to finishing the job this company is 5 STAR professional. The technician found a faulty circuit panel , searched on line, priced it for. Then upon putting it all back resulted in a successful repair! Should it stop working again though ( 10 year old dryer) I will contact Home Star- with confidence - and i will be asking for technician Alex !

I went with Capital Appliance Repair because of their good ratings and what a good choice that was! The Technician showed up on time and knew what he was doing. Will refer your company with no doubt.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Absolutely horrible customer service and negligent tech- was left with a dryer that was a major fire risk despite being told it had been fixed. Paid in advance for parts that were not used and a dryer that was it fixed! Beware there have been cases brought before the BBB about this company!

I originally called to have an overheating dryer fixed. An appointment was scheduled and the service tech came by. He was polite and seemed professional. We spoke and I explained the issue. Without looking (opening up/checking) at my dryer he said i needed two new parts. A berring and a heating element. Said I had to pay 1/2 then and 1/2 on install.
I asked how he could tell it was the heating element and was told "ive been doing this for years, I know."
I was then told to call the next day to check on the status of my parts so that they didn't get "sent to someone else".
He returned a few days later to do the fix. He claimed to have done the repair and tested to ensure that it was no longer overheating. I made the mistake of trusting his word. Due to the excellent reviews of this company. I paid the remainning amount and he left. A few hours later we used the dryer and within 20 minutes there was an overpowering smell of burning plastic. We ran downstairs and the back of the dryer was burning hot (i burnt my hand) the wall nearby was also very hot- which had never happened before. I turned it off and unplugged it. Thank goodness we stayed home/nearby. It was a significant fire risk- even though the tech claimed to have repaired it.
I called the office the next day to complain about the fire risk and lack of service. At first i was told that i had originally called about a dryer that wasnt heating so why was i upset? That understandably upset me further. I demanded a refund and was told "ill call you back."
I called a few times and after arguing about it was offered a refund "by cheque". I asked for the full refund and was given a non answer. Regardless of the wasted money I tried to emphasis the serious fire risk the tech left me with. The lady on the phone claimed "there was no risk- dryers dont catch on fire!"
Needless to say I have zero faith in this company.
I have called twice more to inquire about my refund. In my last conversation I was told that the accountant is on vacation (okay) and that my cheque will be mailed Thursday. Which is different then what i was told last week. When i said that this sounded sketchy the lady i just spoke to said i was making a big problem and that I'll get my money when i get it.
I admittedly hung up because I was so angry by how rude she was being.
The only good thing I could say was there was one lady who i spoke to who genuinely seemed to understand why i was upset and did offer to send another technician to check the dryer. I turned down the offer as I don't believe there would be a different result/ I am not comfortable giving them any more of my money then I already have.

Needed a dryer repaired in a rental property. The technician arrived on time and provided a excellent service. They dtermined that nothing was wrong and recommended steps to take if it happend again beofre calling a technician. I like this approach which encourages me to use them again when something is wrong.

I left a message after business had closed the night of a power outage, and received a call back by 8:15 the next morning. A very friendly repair man was at my place by one that day. He found two bad parts in the fridge, and gave an estimate for repairing everything same day.
In the end we chose to buy a new fridge rather than repair this one, and he gave us recommendations on which brands were more reliable. He also walked through our kitchen giving us tips on our other appliances, and unhooked the water from our fridge so we could have it taken away. The whole experience cost less than $80. We will definitely call them for any future repairs.

Capital Appliance Repair came ASAP to repair my dryer. They ordered a part, attempted repair, got the dryer working again (!) but refunded me part of my payment because the fix wasn't 100%. Honest, polite, professional. Recommend them to anyone.

I made an appointment for later in the evening and got a call that they were in the neighborhood and they came by within minutes. The technician checked out my fridge and gave me many options with in-depth explanations of each. In the end, it was decided that we would be better off getting a new one. They were very honest in their explanations and review of the appliance. If I needed work done I would call no-one else. Thank you.

Customer service extraordinaire is rare to find , but Pavlo has this down pat, even a quick view to see why the fridge is freezing up simple fix, turn down the temperature! My dryer kaput! time to replace it with a new one.
