Furnace Family

We were very pleased with the insulation of the furnace and ac unit. Chris M. was very professional and went out of his way to accomadate us. The installers, Drew, Keegan and Connor were very effiecient in installing the furnace and ac unit. They cleaned everything before leaving and during the cold weather the house did'nt get cold. We certainly would recommend them to anybody that is needing a furnace or an ac unit. Thank you all for the positive exprience.

Very professional. When our furnace failed they were quick to help. Very knowledgeable about a new replacement and adding AC as well. Installation was as promised. We asked 3 furnace companies to quote the replacement of our furnace and AC and have settled with Furnace Family. Chris the salesman was knowledgeable and very accommodating. The 2 installers (Daniel and ??) came on the very cold day to install the furnace. They did an excellent job, cleaned up everything before they left. The AC was not installed yet due to the extreme cold weather but they had wired everything inside the house. We are very happy with the deal and their workmanship. Would recommend them to anyone. (The company also gave us 500 Air Miles!)

Furnace stopped working on a very cold day in Dec 2021. Furnace Family technician came out and assessed. Older furnace part was not available, but technician went above and beyond trying to source the part, making multiple phone calls. Further, he was very helpful in guiding us on a replacement furnace: provided excellent service, professional, and was exceptionally trustworthy! Thank you. Would hire them again, for sure!

Tenanted main floor suite, the tenants call to say no heat, and they cannot get the thermostat to work. Thermostat says its 16 degrees, and as its December in Edmonton, you know the temperature is going to drop quickly. Furnace is a new install less than 1 year old. I call the installer who agrees to go see first thing the next morning. He checks it out and decides it must be the thermostat which was upgraded by a different company when the AC was installed. I call the AC install team who come late that evening to check the thermostat. They say thermostat tests good, the problem is the furnace. Now Im in a pickle - its day 2 of no heat, the tenants are getting very cold, and the furnace installer and the thermostat installer are playing Hot Potato. Finally, in desperation, I call Family Furnace. I only called them because Mr Google showed me they had great reviews. So I figure - what have I got to lose. The reception was very knowledgable and asked great questions to determine what had already been tried and tested. The tech was respectful and very knowledgeable. He had seen this sort of issue before, so he had some idea what it might be - identified it, fixed it, and was on route to the next issue within an hour! Finally my tenants have heat, and Im able to sleep knowing they are safe and the pipes won't freeze.

Old tank died, and we decided to install a water softener as well. Previously we had used Williams HVAC to install our furnace and were very happy with the results. Since this company is now part of Furnace Family we gave them a call.

Price was competitive. They were patient with us as we tried to work through the options for tank vs tankless. They were even able to accommodate when we changed our mind at the last minute.

Our installer Stephan was exceptional. He kept the house clean, and spent time to make sure we were happy and everything was working as we expected.

Would not hesitate to use them again.

My original smart thermostat that was installed by Williams HVAC which is now Furnace Family a few years back was not working properly this summer and fall. The temperature once the air conditioner was turned off for the season was unusually high even with windows open in our cool Calgary temperatures. I usually set my thermostat to 19.5 and I was getting readings of 23 even with open windows. I called Furnace Family and a service technician came and told me that the thermostat was not working properly and that Daikin had come out with their own thermostat and APP that could be controlled via Smart Phone. The price was a bit of shock at first but I have both an air conditioner and high efficiency furnace that are Daikin. The warranty on the thermostat I believe is 15 years which is really good. So far I have been very pleased with the thermostat and am glad I made the purchase in spite of the shock of the price. Also I wanted to also commend Furnace Family for remembering that I needed a new air conditioner cover which I had phoned about a few months back. I thought this was absolutely great customer service. I am pleased with Furnace Family and will continue to be a loyal customer.

Service man was ontime, arrived within one hour on an emergency call on a Sunday. Diagnosed problem, fixed it for fair price. Very polite . Would definitely use this company again. Had great experience with them as well in the past when they were Williams.
