Hunter's Heating

My furnace suddenly stopped working on a holiday Monday. I called another company who helped get it restarted, but hardly looked at the unit. They told me I needed a new furnace right away, and it would cost over 5000$. My father referred me to Breck at Hunter's Heating, so I gave them a call for a second opinion. Breck was very helpful on the phone and sent someone out the next morning to look at our furnace. Kurtis was extremely friendly and took the time to explained to me what was going on in detail. Turn out we had a furnace that had been recalled in the states and we needed to have it replaced. He took some measurements for a new furnace, told us he would send me a quote and advised me to go get CO2 detectors just in case. I am grateful for his advice because the moment I set the detectors up, they started going off. Turns out the furnace was emitting high levels of CO2 and we were told we would have been seriously ill in the morning if we had not called the firefighters and ATCO. The next morning, we contacted Hunter's Heating again and they made time fit us in for a new furnace the next day. Again, they took the time to explain their work, put mats down to protect our hardwood flooring and even took the time to mount the CO2 detectors while they were here. They did incredible work, and the quote was a lot lower then the first company. I want to thank Breck and Kurtis for all their help and I will be recommending them to all my friends and family.

We were referred to Hunters Heating and Cooling by our real estate agent and I could not be happier. We had water leaking into our basement from a previous installer who moved our furnace and did not properly cap off the vent pipe. I reached out to Breck and he was extremely friendly and supportive. Even though it was his busy season he made the time only a day later to come and cap off the pipe and since then we have not had a single leak since. Additionally, we had him install an air conditioner at our house and his team was friendly, personable and we could not be happier with the service.

He also upgraded some of the plastic water lines on the humidifier unit that can stiffen and crack over time with copper lines that will last longer at no charge.

While he was here he also pointed our some concerns with our existing furnace unit as it was showing a greater amount of wear than it should have for its age. As a result, we were able to contact the company that sold that unit and get it resolved. I would highly recommend Hunters Heating and Cooling to anyone looking for a water heater, furnace or air conditioning unit. The price is extremely reasonable for the incredible service that is provided.

Excellent service. Kurtis serviced two furnaces and AC units. Explained what he was going to do. Very friendly and professional. Fairly priced. Kurtis was careful in the house and left the premises in it's original state. Highly recommended

My case is one of those Saturday on Sunday night, furnace stopped heating, and in the morning I was fortunate to get Breck's phone number.
He came on Sunday and in no time he replace the broken part. I was not only satisfied with the service but Breck has great attitude and he was very nice to teach me some basics about my furnace :).
I would strongly recommend Breck when it comes to heating. I definitely know who to call next time (hope not soon).

We went downstairs earlier today to find that our hot water tank had blown and we had water all over the floor. I submitted a work request on Homestars and Breck was the first to respond to it. Even during the tumultuous situation right now (with the COVID outbreak), he was able to do a same day replacement at the most affordable rate I had been quoted out of multiple vendors. Not only was he reasonable in price, he was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. I was SO happy with the level of service I received. We're probably going to have him back shortly to look at our furnace next, haha! I would highly recommend Breck's service.

Breck was knowledgeable, helpful, straightforward. The work was done quickly, when I needed it done, and the guys left the workspace cleaner and tidier than when they found it. And, of course, the hot water system they installed works like a charm. Highly recommended.

We have hired Breck at Hunter’s Heating for the past couple of years to service and tuneup our furnaces. They are a very friendly knowledgeable, and responsible company. Yesterday we had Kurtis do our job and he is just as friendly and as easy to have in the house as Breck is. We definitely recommend Hunter’s Heating.
