Our inspector was prompt in his response to my phone call , and in showing up even early to check out the exterior. He was very professional in pointing out all of the defects of the property, all most to the point of my thinking it might need too much money up front., especially for an older home.

But then I called him back to discuss matters further, and I was re- assured that all homes like old patients, need a bit of TLC to bring them some extra years of life. Because some things were in- accessible, as well, we had a licensed plumber investigate further, and were pleasantly surprised to find a totally hidden sump pump, under washer dryer, platform,that re- assured us further that the basement was hi and dry, and a good investment. the inspector also told us to check out electrical, and gave us a ball park estimate, for the work. , and went over furnace details and climbed up and checked the R rating for attic insulation, cold room, and for any moisture issues.. So we are now better informed and we intend to close soon. before someone else grabs our bargain!
