The Cedar Guys

Our house backs onto a bus stop that gets a lot of traffic and we were looking for trees to create some privacy. The Cedar Guys were quick to respond to our questions via email and were very knowledgeable regarding the materials needed, and size and placement of the trees. We made sure to have the recommended extra materials (mulch, soaker hose, moisture meter) to ensure the survival of the hedge. The crew arrived on time and were quick and professional. The trench was dug, 33 trees were planted and, as an added bonus to us, they also put in the soaker hose and mulched over top all in under 2 hours. After planting, we got a short booklet on how to properly care for the hedge while it's settling into a new environment and have a 1 year warranty on all the trees. We would definitely recommend the Cedar Guys!

We had approximately 37 cedar trees planted in our back yard. We purchased the 7-8 feet tall trees. Cedar Guys had the best reviews and prices when I googled this service. The companys website was easy to navigate and the owner, Matt responded within 24 hours, which I really appreciated. He provided very clear instructions regarding what to expect on the day of our service as well as follow up care. The team lead Terry, was very polite and informative. He answered all my tree care questions as well as provided guidance. The team over all were very professional, and respectful. The trees were planted with aesthetic care and loose tree debris was cleaned up, including sweeping my driveway. It was a very hot day when they arrived and that did not stop them from working very hard! I would definitely recommend this company and will be securing their service in the near future as we complete our front and back yard. Thank you Cedar Guys!

The Cedar Guys are absolutely fantastic! The showed up when promised and delivered exactly what I was expecting. 70 Feet of hedges installed!. Terry and his crew were extremely polite and courteous and a pleasure to talk with. The job was finished in a timely manner and they took the time to explain in detail the pruning instructions and care needed. I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to anyone!

We put cedar hedges in our backyard 2 years ago and then followed the watering and maintenance instructions. We were told that it takes 3 years to really flourish so we were hoping that around the 2 year mark we would see better growth and thickening. Many of the trees are dead so we reached out to the company to ask what they recommend we do. Instead of offering to come and see or suggesting replacement trees, the gentleman asked us a series of questions so he could blame us for the decline of the trees. It was extremely insulting and put such a sour taste in our mouths. We would have happily paid for them to come and do more work but will instead be working with another vendor.

After 1 year my 77 cedar trees are amazing and growing, except than one.
I got in contact with Matt , he will send a crew to replace it and also to check for broken branches ( under warranty). Extremely happy with sales and after sales. Great company ! Giorgio

Terry and his crew arrived right on time and installed 20 feet of cedar trees in record time, giving us the beginnings of privacy in our backyard. We tried having this done two years ago, but they were overwhelmed with requests during the pandemic and had to shut their email down. I was delighted this Spring when they finally reopened their email and responded favourably to our request.

When we bought our house in 1990, there were no houses behind ours. Then the local cemetery sold off its excess land to developers, who promptly cut down the numerous trees and built monster homes. It was tolerable when we were both working, and before the Birch tree lost half its branches in the 2013 ice storm, and then the ornamental cherry tree died, leaving a large gap. Now that were both retired, the lack of privacy had become more bothersome. The monster home directly behind ours is farther up the hill, allowing them to see directly into our family room anytime the drapes are open.

While the 10 feet high cedars that were installed dont give us complete privacy (at least not yet), Terry assured us that with proper care, and yearly trimming, they will thicken up nicely, and we should have a decent amount of privacy within three or four years.

It was definitely worth the wait, and I would highly recommend The Cedar Guys to anyone who would like the promise of near instant privacy. They can provide cedar trees ranging from 5-6 feet to 9-10 feet tall, which they plant closely together to create an instant hedge.

In the pictures below, the first is the Before photo. The second picture is the After photo, which shows the finished hedge. I was delighted to see that they planted the tallest and thickest of the trees in line with the windows of the house behind us so that we already have the beginnings of privacy.

They worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves, and gave detailed instructions on how to care for our cedar hedge, including when and how to trim it to help it to thicken up. Definitely a company one could recommend to friends and family with no reservations.

Great guys!! Matt is fast, friendly and helpful on the emails. Terry and Corey arrived exactly when they said they would. Friendly, efficient,... very explicit in their directions on care of the new trees. Looking forward to watching my hedge flourish and my neighbors disappear!!

Due to the installation of a new septic system, a section of an old cedar hedge had to be removed. Matt responded promptly with a reasonable quote and a timely installation date. Within a few hours, Terry and Corey had the row of healthy, straight 7-8 foot cedars planted. The company provided all the necessary information to ensure the new trees thrive. The gap is no more and the hedge looks great. Thanks to Cedar Guys!

2nd time I have bought 10' trees to give privacy. Team arrived when they said, planted 10 trees and cleaned up after themselves. Terry took the time to discuss care and pruning with me.
I first had The Cedar Guys in 3 years ago. The trees they plant are fantastic and have doubled in height and fullness.

There is no resound when your business is done and you are useless any more after five star comments!
Got trees/hedge issue emailed three times but no respond yet in a week!
