Our hot water heater needed to be replaced and it turned out our main shut off valve was stuck to open. So the installers could not do it without a safety backup.

Alexei appeared on a Sunday morning on time as well as the city water department to coordinate a curb side shutoff so that the new valve could be installed. He used a ball valve instead which is more reliable and showed me how bad the old gate valve was. It was corroded and it was 20+ years old. He will also change another leaky valve for our outdoor garage faucet.
