Avenue Road Masonry

Our home is about 34 years old and it was suggested that we have someone come and look at the tuckpointing on the window ledges. When Chris came he got out his ladder and checked all the outside window ledges to see their condition. They all needed tuckpointing. He also noticed that one ledge in the back was sagging on one side and suggested a complete replacement. He also pointed out that when this home was built, solid one piece ledges should have been used on most of the windows rather than piecing them together with tuckpointing - a cheaper way to go for the builder. A detailed quote was provided and the two gentlemen doing the job were here five days later and completed the job. They were respectful and did an excellent job. We are very pleased with the professional services of Avenue Road Masonry and could not have asked for nicer people to help us get this job done. When we were looking at their website we thought that maybe our job was not big enough for them, not so. We are glad we made the call and would highly recommend them.

We engaged Avenue Road Masonry to do some tuck pointing work and minor masonry repairs at our home. Their service was prompt and courteous, and the work was excellent, with careful attention to the details. They left the job site spotless. We were very pleased, and would use them again if the need arises.

We needed to have the old brick sills replaced on 7 windows of our 100yr old home, have 2 basement sills parged that were embedded in the driveway and tuck pointing done around the entire house. I did my due diligence and asked for quotes from 3 different companies. Sean from Avenue Rd. Masonry came and provided a quote that was within the realm of the other quote I received (the third company never showed up). What won me over was the professional quote provided which included a detailed description of the work to be done plus their guarantee etc (compared to the other company that just send an email with the price). 2 weeks after signing back the contract, I was contacted my Robert to let me know his crew would be showing up at 7:30 on the Thursday of that week. Ron (who turned out to be Robert's dad) and his crew of 4 guys showed up at 7:15 and got to work. It took them 2 days to complete the job, with Robert calling me after the first night to check in with me and came by on the Friday to go over the job and ask if I had any questions. When Ron and his crew finished, he walked be around the entire job to make sure I was happy. They did fantastic work and left my place as clean as they found it. I found one slight issue after they had left, let Robert know and he's having them come back to fix the problem (very minor problem I might add). All-in-all, a fantastic experience and great company to deal with. The new sills look amazing.

I contacted Avenue Road Masonry along with a few other companies to obtain quotes for a number of repairs on my property, including waterproofing (entire side of house and one window well), concrete (replacing part of driveway with pavers), brick and stone work (repairing cracks, replacing a stone pillar). Chris was prompt in responding and helpful in explaining all the procedures and options available.

The different repairs were all related to water drainage problems along the side of my house. Although I had contacted different companies to repair the jobs separately, Avenue was the only company that had comprehensive knowledge of how all these repairs were related and the impacts of each on the other.

Robert managed the project and the crew that performed the work did a great job. They were prompt, respectful of the property, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. The project was completed within the estimated timeline as well.

I am very pleased with the finished results and was assured that if I noticed anything I wasn't satisfied with, to let them know and they would make any needed corrections or alterations.

Our archway was built incorrectly by the original home contractors and it was falling apart. We called several other masons and they were not willing to take the job due it’s complexity. Chris & Paul from Avenue Road Masonry were up to the task. They were confident in their abilities to get the job done correctly, within a fair budget and in a efficient timeline. I couldn’t be happier with their workmanship, their communication as well as the final product. I would very highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a great mason. If I ever have any future home projects, they will me my go to company!!!

My chimney was in rough shape and pieces of it had broken off and fallen to the ground. From the initial estimate visit to the job completion, the employees were courteous and efficient. The chimney rebuild took about 3-4 hours and looks great. I'm considering them for a future job too.

Responded to my online quote request (to reduce the size of our old brick fireplace) within a day, came 1 day later in person and the job was booked quickly and easily- workers were friendly, polite and cleaned up after. Avenue Road Masonry did a fabulous job rebuilding our damaged chimney. Chris provided us with a fair quote and the work was done on the day it was scheduled. The gentlemen showed up on date and time arranged, protected our property from any fall out, rebuilt the chimney and cleaned up. The rebuild looks great and if you did not know it was rebuilt you could not tell. The gentlemen took prided in their work and when they had completed and cleaned up. Our chimney was leaking into our fireplace when it rained. Chris and Avenue Road fixed it. They were quick and clean and very professional. The pricing was fair and they back up their work. Any problems and they come back to fix it. I would not hesitate to recommend them as their work was fantastic.
