Distinct Heating & Cooling

We had Nate and his guys install a two new Furnaces in our home about 5 years ago. We finally decided to install an Air Conditioner and after calling around, we met with Nate again. While Distinct Heating and Cooling sure wasn't the cheapest, we knew they did an excellent job and wired everything correctly and made sure all piping, electrical etc. would look very clean and perfect. As we have a large house with Walkout, we were concerned the top floor would get cool enough, but Nate suggested a remote for the bedroom that would adjust to the temperature in our bedroom.

With this summer being one of the hottest, making this decision in June was the best thing we did. Vey satisfied with the work performed!

The process was very easy and professionally conducted throughout - from setting appointments, being strictly on time right through to a high quality completion. Staff were very courteous, professional and left the working area cleaner than they found it. The system has been up and running for a month and we are extremely happy overall and would recommend Distinct for anyone's airco needs!

Nate and his team went over and above for our family to ensure the integrity of our HVAC remained post basement renovation. This group understand the science of HVAC, focuses on quality and provides fantastic customer service. Highly recommend them.

We had an AC unit installed in our home in June and were very pleased with Distinct Heating and Cooling. The company was recommended to us by our contractor who did our house renovation. Nate was professional, friendly and there was no hard sell. He offered us the best option for our home. The installation went smoothly and we are enjoying our now cool house! My wife and I are both very happy with Nate and his team. We had Distinct install two new furnaces in our home to replace two 30 year old furnaces. This also required new venting, re-venting hot water heaters, chimney lining, etc. We were very happy with the process starting from the initial quote to the final walk through and Nate's tutorial.

During the initial quote, Nate took time to review all of our options and explained the pros/cons of each decision we had to make. It was easy to follow along with him and our final decisions about what products to choose seemed easy.

During the install (which took a little over two days) his crew was very clean and tidied up the work area at the end of each workday. They paid attention to detail and the final installation reflects that (all the pipes/cables are level, cables are zip tied tightly, etc.).

There were no surprises along the way either with the work or the billing. We appreciated the time Nate spent with us after the installation to walk us through the work that was done, program the thermostats, set up remote access, etc. Nate and his crew are very good at what they do and Nate's passion for his business shines through. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to have their HVAC serviced or replaced.

Right from the get go, I knew these guys were selling me what was right for my house. They were not trying to over sell me, or just slap in the same thing they do everywhere. They asked about my needs, my preferences, and offer me options in various price ranges.

The installers that showed up were very polite and friendly. Spoke clear and understandable English, and even fixed some piping that another company did a poor job of when my house was being installed.

I would not hesitate to hire these guys again if I ever move houses, and have already recommended them to friends.

We needed new furnaces in 2017 and were moving from mid-efficient to high-efficient. Had been referred to Distinct Heating and Cooling by a friend. We were extremely pleased with the installation. It was done efficiently, professionally, with always a clean worksite at end of day. We were kept apprised of the activity. The planned setup with the new venting is excellent.
We had an issue with one of the furnaces earlier this year and that was handled promptly and, of course, was still under warranty.
Any questions that I have are answered well by Nate, taking time and care. In our recent annual maintenance by Jordan, he assisted on the thermostat programming for the summer temps. He checked out a concern about our garage heater (installed also at the time of the furnaces), which is fine and we were very pleased to have it this past winter. He is very knowledgeable about the equipment and takes the time to explain things. He also kindly took away the old furnace filters for disposal, which I understand is not normal procedure. I live in an older home that has inherent issues with distributing heat. I had multiple companies in to quote the work. Most would offer half-cocked solutions without taking the time to fully understand the issues. Nate blew me away with his attention to detail. The sale was finalized by his prompt replies to questions and concerns. Icing on the cake was the quality work that Distinct did. An added bonus was how attentive and responsive Nate and Distinct are when I called in 1.5 years after the install for questions on servicing and warranty.

We had used another vendor to maintain our two furnaces with humidifiers and called them out when the blower stopped working on one unit. They immediately gave us the number for Distinct Heating and Cooling and didn't even charge us for the service call since they were not comfortable working on our York units. Distinct was at our house within hours, identified the problem quickly and went back to their shop for the needed part. We were up and running that afternoon, including having their awesome tech install a new thermostat for us "since he was here". One thing to note, the technician offered two solutions; one more comprehensive and expensive that would possibly extend the life and one less extensive but would get the unit working again. We appreciated the honesty and recommendations. Well deserved reputation for quality work, especially on York products.
