After 20+ years of service we decided it was time to update the look and features of our aging Instaflame fireplace gas insert. We looked on line and contacted several contractors. We wanted to see working models before making a choice. We ruled out those with no showroom models to view and those that had too many on display to choose from. After a recommendation from a friend, we contacted Appleby Systems. They have several working models on display and we chose the new Regency Gi29 for its realistic log set, clear vision glass, lighted coals effect and multilevel settings for flame and fan. Plus, Regency was offering incentives during November. Appleby Systems were great to deal with from start to finish. The installers were professional, polite and attentive to making sure everything was done right. We could not be more pleased with our experience working with the President and staff. Like everything else these days, we just hope the modern electronics and gadgetry of our new Regency fireplace insert serves us as well as our now retired one.

We purchased a new home this summer and didn’t know the heat exchanger was gone. We were about to replace the furnace with another company because the labour was so expensive and the part was not available in Ontario. Not a happy moment! I finally found the sticker with Appleby Systems and contacted them. Ryan took the lead and managed to locate a part in Ontario and got us taken care of under the original warranty as the unit was only 6 years old. His actions had an impact and I will definitely continue to recommend him! Exceptional customer service!

Appleby Systems installed our new air conditioner two years ago and we were happy with the experience, so called them again to have the furnace and two gas fireplaces checked and routine maintenance performed prior to the Winter setting in.
I found the entire experience smooth, reliable and professional from start to finish. Booking was easy, the technician was on time and did a great job, answered all my questions and gave some good advice. Most impressed with the fact that when Andrew was on his way we received an email letting us know, along with a photo of him, and his name - very professional and great idea! I wouldn't call anyone else now for this type of work.

I received excellent service when I called to inquire about scheduling an appointment and price. The ladies were very pleasant and informative. The service person arrived on time and was friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to service our fireplace quickly and it is working like a charm. I would definitely use them again and recommend their service.

Our first experience with Appleby was six years ago when we had a new furnace installed. From the onsite visit and sales quote interactions right through to installation, it was all courteous, responsive, and professional. Two years ago, we had the company install our new central air conditioner and again could not have been more pleased with what we experienced. So, when it came time to replace our ageing hot water tank, I did not think twice about who I was going to call—Appleby Systems.

I made the call to the company to inquire about getting a quote. Sales lead Ryan came on site to our place and took the time to explore our options. After that, he worked with me over phone and email to answer my questions and provide the product and pricing information I needed to make a final decision. There was no pressure at all, and once my decision was made, he promptly scheduled the install.

The installation team, Trevor and Ryan (different from “sales Ryan” referenced above), arrived on time and fully lived up to our expectations. They explained what they were going to do and worked diligently to install our new tank. They helped me out a lot by agreeing to take and hang-on to the old tank until I can confirm closing the rental agreement out with the old tank’s provider.

The team nicely cleaned up the installation area and Trevor gave me a final walkthrough of things before leaving. They left me with a great comfort that I could call them and that they would be very responsive in the unlikely event of any issues stemming from the install.

I have an outdoor gas fireplace that was installed with my backyard landscaping over 10 years ago. It recently stopped working. I saw Appleby Systems offered a fireplace repair service, so I called them even though they probably weren't familiar with the brand I had. The technician James from Appleby came and performed a thorough investigation of the issue. He diagnosed that a certain part had failed and that I needed to get a replacement. This proved to be the correct diagnostic.

I contacted the manufacturer, which I discovered was based in New Zealand, and purchased a replacement part (the ignition system) from them and had it shipped to me. James then came back and replaced the part which was trickier than expected as the new version of the part wasn't exactly the same as the predecessor. And now I am enjoying my fixed fireplace.

I also wanted to mention that working with James and the office staff at Appleby was a pleasant experience as they were very friendly and accommodating. Based on this service, I would easily recommend them.

They say that we don't buy stuff any more - we buy experiences, and I enjoyed a great customer experience from Appleby. Ryan knows what he is selling, and listens to his customers' requirements. The installation team were efficient, effective, friendly and knowledgeable. Mine was a relatively difficult installation and the guys made it look easy. Great after-service from the Appleby team, too.

Very pleased with Appleby systems from sales, to the installation crew, to the follow-up to help me apply for my Homeowner Rebate. They have been professional, thorough and friendly. I will be returning to them this fall when we purchase a new furnace. Highly recommend.

I would like to thank the team of installers for their hard work on 4/26/21. Adam, Chris, Trevor and Adam where outstanding!! I cannot say enough about this team of professional installers. These guys delivered it all!! The scope of work was completed with an attention to detail like I have not experienced before. The care that was taken was if these guys owned my house. Everything is working perfectly. Before the team left I was shown every aspect of the completed work as well as an overview of how to operate my new Furnace/AC/Water Heater/Humidifier. The entire house and property was clean and tidy. These guys are top drawer!!
I have to mention Eddie the Administrative Coordinator. This guy also has his act together. The communication and attention to detail was and will continue to be first class!!
Lastly but not forgotten is Ryan. Ryan guided us throughout the process of selecting the correct equipment and was in no way upselling something that was not in our best interest. What a pleasant change.
