Was a major renovation which was to be completed within six months. At the 15 months mark (9 months over the original scheduled completion date), we had scheduled a final walkthrough to go through all of the remaining deficiencies, which were quite numerous. Instead, they cancelled the meeting and insisted that they were finished and never returned.
So, nine months over the expected completion date and the job remained incomplete with poor workmanship. There are even two outstanding permits from the City that Novell claimed, after they walked off the job, is the Owner's responsibility! Yet, the job is considered done? You can even perform a search on the BC Supreme Court website. You’ll see that there was a claim filed against Novell and get some insight into what they are like. You’ll also see how they have filed a claim against me to which I disputed and filed a counter claim of my own. Would not recommend in any way whatsoever.
The attached pictures are but some of the still existing issues. I have a ton more but think you get the point.
Floor tile: how the grout is throughout all floor tiles.
Bath tile: grouting so inconsistent (it's not wet).
Roofing: no drip ledge and clearly exposing the ply underneath.
Door: inconsistent paint.
If there is any doubt, I welcome you to come see for yourself the workmanship.
