From first quote to final product, and unlike any other home improvement project we've had to take on, this was a smooth and seamless undertaking. We had a very bad experience and problems afterwards with someone else the first time we renovated the washroom, and Charlie understood our concerns- he was very patient to answer all of our questions. Charlie knows what he's doing and ensures the work is done properly, the first time, even if it means extra time on his part. He always took the initiative to keep us informed on the progress, including any unforeseen glitches along the way. We never had to chase after him to ask what was going on, as was our experience before Mr. Rescue. We are so happy with the reno and will not hesitate to recommend him to our closest friends/family or to use him again. We are very lucky we took a chance on this online contact!

Charlie and his team did a fantastic job in responding quickly and delivering on time and on budget. He did an amazing job in working to solve some of the problems our older house presented. In the end the vanity and sink look fantastic. We will definatley use Mr Rescue again!

I was more than a little skeptical when my wife recommended 'Mr. Rescue' based on his 'Home Stars' review for two or three dozen different home repairs we needed done. Who could be that good? But over the years a list of broken and damaged items and areas had accumulated inside the house that demanded everything from painting to plumbing and caulking to cabinet repair and from remountings to reinstallations and I was growing a little desperate. The range of skills and talents and ingenuity required to fix everything was incredible as, it turned out, were Charlie and his workmate, Benny. There was, literally, nothing they could not do, and they did everything quickly, cleanly, perfectly, with friendliness and quiet confidence, and at a fair price. They treated the house with the same pride we have in it. The experience was like one of those movies about the 'fifties and a time of consciousness that you think now was all made-up. My only hesitancy in writing this recommendation is that it could delay when we'll be able to get 'Mr. Rescue' back to do what needs to be done to the outside of the house! I honestly cannot find anything to criticize about the experience and I would be happy to detail it further to anyone Charlie wants to offer my number.

Charlie came to do some work in my office. We have double doors and only one of them fully opens automatically (the other side has an automatic lever so it stays closed unless you pull on the lever. I wanted both door to be able to open, so Charlie took care of it. It's much nicer now that people coming in can open both doors. He also repaired a large wood door for me, and looked after relocating a picture and repainting the wall after it was relocated. He was super knowledgeable and very meticulous with his work. I'd recommend him hands down. The only issue I had was his availability. He gets booked up quick!

I had Mr Rescue install a new dryer vent. Charlie was able to work around my schedule for both the estimate and the installation. The work was done on time and on budget. The new dryer vent is great, cut my drying time in half!

I first contacted Charlie to do a relatively small repair based on the reviews in Homestars. He responded right away, came when he said he would and kept me informed throughout. I've been completely satisfied and highly recommend him. Since that first project, Charlie's done additional work for me and he's now become my go-to person for repair. Thanks, Charlie.

I hired Mr Rescue to do some minor repairs for my mother based on the reviews from Homestars. Charlie was quick to reply to my email request and kept in regular contact to schedule the work. Work was done in a timely fashion and to my mother's satisfaction. We'd recommend Mr. Rescue to others who need minor home repairs and will certainly use him again in the future.

At the mercy of a large, determined, fearless raccoon, who was obviously intent on spending the winter tucked up cosily in my attic, and was ripping shingles off my roof faster than would seem possible, I was directed to homestars.com and Mr Rescue in particular, by a daughter with great computer savvy than I have. He responded very quickly to my initial call, and followed up promptly with a visit to look at the work required and give me an estimate. He was back within 2 days to do the work, which was accomplished with speed and neatness, and came in under budget!

I needed to install a couple fire rated doors in a rental property. It was an insurance requirement with a tight deadline. Charlie returned my call almost immediately, was at the house to provide a quote in a day or two and scheduled the work quickly to meet the deadline imposed by my insurance company. He did exactly what he said he would do and he did it excactly when he said he would do it. Actually, he did a little more work than originally expected (had to install door closers as well) and he did the whole thing for slightly less than he originally quoted. Exceptional service. Will use him again for sure.

We looked for a positively reviewed handyman in our area and came up with Mr Rescue. After contacting Charlie and having him over to check out the situation, he recommended that a roof repair company be contacted to fix some roof problems, but was more than willing to take on our other jobs. Charlie scheduled a week for the work, and he and his crew showed up raring to go. A stud wall was built in our walk-in closet, closet components were installed, a rusting shower base was torn up, rebuilt and retiled, and a few other small issues were fixed around the house. We couldn't be happier. The work was of very high quality – we wish we had found Charlie earlier. Already planning the next project!
