Can't say enough about Charlie & Anna. As professional as it gets. Everything they do is about making the customer happy. Charlie did more than initially agreed and still took less than the estimate, despite my efforts to pay him more. Wow!

And they do this wonderful, unique thing of leaving a bit of the cost uncollected at the end while you live with the work and see if there's anything you'd like touched up. And Charlie follows through. How great is that?

The work: replaced mirrored sliding closet doors with swinging doors. The surround needed to be built up. A subcontractor removed the "popcorn" on the ceiling of the hallway. New wall paint in hallway. Installed three chandeliers. Painted existing baseboards. And a few odds and ends as well.

We are thrilled with the results and will be calling Charlie back for more renos later this year.

Charlie and Anna make a great team. Anna was very organized and Charlie was punctual, polite, and very tidy. He was also very quick, so he managed to take care of twice as many things as I originally planned! Will definitely call them again if I need anything done.

We needed to expand the area around our water shut-off to get the new mandatory water meter installed. We had redone the basement a couple of years ago and had insulated and waterproofed it, and unfortunately the installers wouldn't put the meter in without removing a large area of the foam and waterproofing around the shutoff valve.
Charlie did a fantastic job and was extremely courteous, professional, and easy to work with. He even fixed a couple of other items around the house as he was waiting for things to dry! Will definitely use him again and would highly recommend him!

I couldn't get anybody to return my calls about repairing a hole a plumber had made in my ceiling to fix a leaking pipe. Charlie dropped by right away to look at the problem and arranged to make the repair on his day off - within a week of my phone call. He was polite and professional. The work was done well and priced reasonably. I will definitely call him again.

Attracted by numerous high-scoring reviews, I contacted Mr. Rescue to help my mother out of a fix. Her dishwasher needed servicing, but the repair tech was unwilling or unable to remove the unit from its housing, claiming he was afraid he'd damage the cabinetry. An offer of a damage waiver did not change his mind.

So I called Mr Rescue to, erm, come to the rescue. Charlie (Mr. Rescue) was able - somewhat unsurprisingly - to extract the unit for servicing, and later returned to re-install it. When my mother asked about payment, Charlie laughed and refused to accept it, it being such an easy job. Didn't even charge for his gas/time. Clearly he was hoping that such good faith would be rewarded with additional contracts, and he was right.

I later contracted him to conduct a couple other minor repairs to my mother's house: re-positioning of the downspout, fixing of a circa 1950 doorknob assembly, and replacement of the weather stripping on the front door sill. All relatively minor work that was easily tackled by Mr. Rescue.

Would highly recommend Mr. Rescue for any "handyman" jobs. Professional work honestly done, 10/10 stars, doesn't get any better than this, really.

We were desperate to finish our on-going DIY-With-Pro-Help bathroom remodel before overnight guests were expected. I contacted Charlie because of the reviews here and he was able to fit me in the next day.
He installed our new vanity/sink with the drain plumbing and faucet. Despite a small hiccup with the drain pop-up mechanism not fitting, he had the right spare part to make it work.
Charlie was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and efficient; everything you could ask for in a handyman!
I will definitely hire him again for future projects.

After having a very unsatisfactory experience with another reputable larger company we found Mr. Rescue who not only completed the installation of our bathroom fan without difficulty, but did so in a very professional manor. We found him to be pleasant, knowledgeable and easy to work with. We will definitely call him first in the future.
