Galaxy Windows

Years ago Galaxy replaced all the windows in our home and it was an excellent experience. When it came time for us to replace our drafty side door I once again called Galaxy. They were able to provide a quote within 24hrs of me calling. The price was reasonable and they offered a wide range of products. We picked out our door and placed the order in December, they were able to estimate an install in mid to late February. Sure enough I got the call to schedule my install in the third week of February. They arrived promptly at the time given and were finished the install ahead of schedule. The installer made it a very easy experience with little disruption and left the area spotless. We are very pleased with the quality of work and the door looks great. We will definitely contact Galaxy again when we are ready to replace our front door.

Second time we have used Galaxy for window replacements (used them previously in 2015). Didnt hesitate to call them again when we needed our doors replaced and some larger windows this time around. Dmitri was once again very easy to work with and pricing was extremely reasonable. Installation folks took good care to protect our interior while working, and did great job with clean up afterwards. Would not hesitate to recommend or use again.

That was the second project Galaxy Windows did for me. First was all windows facing street 4 years ago. Now they replaced all windows facing backyard. We replaced all of the windows in our home. The removal, disposal and installation was very quick and efficient. The crew was very respectful and paid attention to details. Our new windows, not only updated the exterior aesthetic of our house, but they are super quiet as well. We are so happy we used Galaxy Windows for our window replacement.

Amazing work by Alex and his son. They arrived early and completed the job within the same day. They were extremely professional and clean. Managed to clean everything up and leave minimal work after the install. We have had an octagon window replaced several times in the past and always leaked. They new install of that window has fixed the problem. Extremely happy with the service.

Dmitri the sales rep was great and showed up on install date to make sure everything was the way we wanted.

We had 5 windows, the patio door, and the front door installed.

We decided to go with Galaxy WD primarily because of their very high consumer rating.
We contacted three different windows/doors contractors with the highest ratings, and we compared their offers and consumer feedback (Ive literally read every single consumer review). Eventually, we decided to go with Galaxy WD even though their offer was not the lowest.

The total cost of these 5 windows, front door, patio door and labor was $14K (all-in).

Their rep Alex visited us on August 10th. He informed us that due to supply chain issues all windows and doors will be ready for installation in the mid/end of November. Installation happened on November 25th.

Team of two installers (Alex and Igor) arrived at about 9 am and completed all installations at about 4:30 pm.
Installed windows and doors look great inside and outside. Installers did their best to minimize the mess produced by installation, so the amount of cleaning after the installation was not as massive as we expected.

There are small but important details that say a lot about the quality and integrity of the team.
First, one of the installers found a microscopic dent on the front door and invited us to have a look in his truck. He said they can order a new door and install it later, or the company can give a $100 discount for this tiny defect. For me it took some effort to even see such a small dent, I would never be able to notice it unless he showed it to me. So, we picked the $100 discount.
Second, one small part of the front doors frame (attached above the door) ended up with a slightly different color. If they installed it as is - I would be 100% sure that its supposed to be this way. But the installer showed me this difference and promised to find this part with exactly matching color. Next morning (on Saturday) he dropped by at 7 am with this part having exactly matching color and completed installation.

If you decide to go with Galaxy WD then try to get Alex and Igor team for your project. They have high integrity and are a very skilled team.

Few words about installed windows and doors. As Ive already mentioned, they look great inside and outside. However, I cannot comment yet on how these windows and doors will endure during cold winters days. Our old windows tended to accumulate ice overnight which melted during the day, and we needed to wipe water a few times a day. I will publish my update at the end of the spring on how these windows and doors held during our harsh Ontario winter.

We are so pleased with our new windows!! We had a few companies come by to give us quotes, but Dimitri was the best because he provided us with some newer window options, helped explain everything (as this was our first time buying windows), and helped us choose the best option to get the greener homes grant.

The installation took 1.5 days and the guys were efficient and left the place clean. The windows look amazing! Very happy we chose to go with Galaxy Windows!!
