Clicklock Premium Metal Roofing

As you know it is often hard to find a quality company to get out and perform labour intensive work on your home, especially in your absence. My family and I have been working on the cottage now for a while and have witnessed this repeatedly.

This spring we realized it was time to make the move to a real roof. Something that will help protect all of the work that we have done inside and also help to stop and animals that might try to dig their way in again (long store).

We called around and spoke to many characters (to say the least) and ended up booking a visit with the team at Clicklock. They did not seem to mind our location nor the fact that it would be at least two visits if they were to get us a proper quote. We first met at our home in the city and later at the cottage for a final measure and booking.

Long story short the work was completed without a hitch and my progress visit (unannounced) was met with a clean work site and no alcohol or questionable work practices present (another story). The crew was polite and there work was neat. Even though it is only a cottage they seem to treat it as a show home, lol. Well I would like to think so anyway.

The Clicklock teams was great. Raymond the salesmen explained everything very clearly. The installers were very professional and explained everything to us. They cleaned up around the house every day. Thank you very much Clicklock.

Overall the experience was great. The salesman was straightforward and easy to deal with. The crew was respectful to everyone in the house. It is easy to recommend this company.

We had issues with Clicklock that have not been resolved.
It all started when the sales person (AND owner) came to our house to give their sales pitch. Great job, there is no doubt about how convincing they are!
When we posed our concerns to them (ie. falling ice & snow, possible lawsuits b/c of that, possible injury or death of children playing outside during winter) they assured us that the ice-breaker/blockers would be installed as part of the installation (included in the fee...but "don't worry that it won't be in the contract, we'll make sure it's done."). On their ADVERTISEMENTS it states: "MAINTENANCE FREE: Leaves, snow and debris will not cling to the surface."
Keep these two facts in mind when I explain further.

The ice-breakers/blockers (whatever they're officially called) were NOT installed as promised by both salesman & owner.
We honestly thought they'd eventually call us to set up an appointment to come and install them. They did not.
This past winter (2013-2014) we saw heavy snowfall. We understand some winters are worse than others but according to the flyer as stated above: "Leaves, SNOW, and debris will not cling to the surface"....snow piled up, ice formed, more snow piled up, etc. It was as if the roof did not live up to its advertisement and that it (advertisement) was a false statement.
January 2014 comes along and the snow/ice pile builds to a critical mass where it has nowhere to go but down. The ice ripped off our eavestrough, facia/soffet (which in itself was at least $5000 of work when it was installed) bringing down a HUGE sheet of ice!!! We are lucky no one was outside when it occurred, we were all inside when it rumbled the whole house. We are ALSO lucky the van was placed in the driveway where it was. Had it have been ONE INCH CLOSER there would've been damage to the van as well.
We decided to call Clicklock (in January) to finally fix this issue as we CLEARLY couldn't wait for them to get a hold of us to finish the job they did not do originally.
because I cannot use names on here I can't say who I spoke with but I DO have his name should the company require it.
I proceeded to tell the man on the phone the concern about not finishing the job and the issues that now are arising due to the lack of completion. The man then told me that I did not purchase the ice-breakers as it was an accessory (even though it was promised by salesman & owner), and that he is "too busy for installs to worry about ONLY ONE unhappy customer."
I may as well mention that since this has occurred, and the facia/soffet was ripped off, small animals & birds have made their home in certain areas of the roof. So the damage doesn't end with the ripping off of metal. I'm sure there is denting in some areas of the roof as well due to the incident.

On April 11th I received a Phone call from the owner indicating that the company wanted to make things right by fixing these problems and requested that I send him some picture of the damage.

I did sent the photos through on April 14th with a follow-up on April 16th to make sure he received them. April 30th send an email asking for an update for the time frame to have someone come by and was told it’s in the cue. Sent an Email requesting an update May 21st,May 29th & June 4th both to the man on the phone and the owner with zero response from either person.

All I request is a date as to when to expect someone to come and assess the damage and have someone come and fix it (including the resulting damage of pests living in crevices where the facia/soffet ripped off).

Sale Rep professional knew his product in and out. I was very comfortable; the rep answered all of my questions and was not pushy. I did some research and follow-up questions, and the rep was always available. The installer crew completed the roof in great timing; they knew what they were doing, also explained the process, and answer any of my questions. The crew was very professional, cleanup was done very well, all done to satisfaction. Such a great job was done I have recommend click lock roofing to my family and friends.

After doing a bit of research, I knew I wanted a metal roof. With so many options and companies out there, I was very confused. After calling 6 different companies, Danny from Clicklock was the only Sales rep who explained the differences of the many roofing products thoroughly and allowed us to make an educated decision based on more criteria other than price alone. All the other companies were just telling us how great their products were without any type of rhyme or reason focusing only on being the cheapest, but I was looking for the best at a fair price.
We were advised that we would be getting delivery of our roof the day before deliver (within the 4 weeks as promised) and the installers called us the day of delivery to notify us that they would be starting the installation the following day. The installation crew was very professional and seemed like they loved what they did despite the extremely hot weather. They finished the job in 3 days and cleaned up after themselves every day. They were very helpful in answering any and all questions that I had and loved the Iced tea that I was glad to offer them.
The Roof looks FANTASTIC and wanted to share my experience with the world. I will continue to refer my friends, family, neighbours and co-workers to Clicklock roofing and wish them the success they deserve. GOOD JOB!

Salesman did a great job in mid August. Agreed to install dates before Thanksgiving as we have a seasonal road. -.. End of Sept, no date for install.. Oct 2 told Mid Nov. at earliest. maybe I should wait till spring. After MANY phone calls, it was installed late Oct. I have a cottage with a cathedral great room out front. The one side of the roof is installed perfectly, but the side you view upon entering our property was installed on a slight angle, so that the roof looks off square. I can assure you this is not the case. We have been arguing and sending pictures since Nov 2013 and have finally decided just to pay up, since it seems this is all they want to talk about, and get rid of them. They are full of excuses as to why the did it that way, but I really don't care. I paid $20,000 to look at a crooked roof line for the rest of my cottage life. Not happy with 1/2 of front roof and the total lack of professionalism of the staff. I would not recommend this company. Product is fine so far.

An Excellent job done by Click Lock, My home looks amazing the installer were efficient and quick, good workmanship and they work within a team. I am very impressed with the work done and how clean my place is. My home not only looks amazing but also has increased in property value and my roof is stable. The staff at click is very nice, I enjoyed my service received by click lock from the beginning till the end.
