Depending on the store you can get good service or terrible service. The Home Depot on Dundas in Oakville is probably the worst with the exception of a few employees. In particular Imran from the appliance department is top notch. He has no problem matching and beating any other price out there. As long as you don't have the problem doing the leg work Imran will always give you a better price than the best price you can find.
Rented a cement hammer drill from this location. The staff were very helpful in explaining how to use it, necessary accessories and tools, and made the whole process very simple.
Home Depot takes a lot of slack. They are a MASSIVE company and I guess to some extent we expect more from them. I had my carpet installed by them for their special price of $199.00 for any home, any size, any number of rooms. This was a great deal. I really thought that at that price I'd be getting ex-cons to install my carpet for me, people who would not be careful with the new drywall, new paint, etc. They were AWESOME. Two guys came in and finished a MASSIVE 1,900 sq ft in less than 6 hours! Very hardworking and they answered all my questions. Becoming a more diligent homeowner, I can assure you have A LOT of questions these days from all contractors.
These guys deserve our praise and if we ever need more carpeting (too bad it's just for areas we don't really use that often these days) I will be sure to call them.

I found the same item at lower price at their competitor. Usually I find Home Depot is good place to shope but this time I was a bit disappointed. They may have to do more market research in terms of customer satisfaction and their servec.
I went to Home Depot for Paint to Paint my home and I was totally happy with the service I recieved. The sales associate was very friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable in his area of experties. I would return and recommend Home Depot to others
I took my old kitchen faucet into home depot. I spoke to John in the plumbing dept. He showed me several different varieties of kitchen faucets and the tools I need. Describe step by step how to install the faucet.
