12 years ago we purchased new Willmar windows for our living room and dining room. Although these windows were sold to us as maintenance free (aluminum clad), both lower corners sills have rotted out and the thermal pane seals have failed. Trying to initiate a warranty claim through Jeld-Wen is a complete nightmare. Although all the requested supporting information has been provided, (i) the call centre staff can provide no assistance, (ii) the call centre/service territory Managers do not return calls, (iii) the service specialist who was to review my claim has quit and they have no replacement. We finally received a follow-up call (6 weeks later) after escalating our concerns to a more senior Manager (who has now left the company). We will be receiving replacement thermal panes (only being charged installation labour), but it appears nothing will be done to address the two rotting window sills although the service tech agreed it was a manufacturing defect that caused this rot to occur. Do not purchase Willmar windows.
