Morrison Homes

I have purchased Morrison homes spec home in Edmonton (Walker Summit) area in 2013 and got possession in Sept 2013. At the time of possession, there were few pending and issues and house was not cleaned, specially outside. Morrison person get annoyed by mentioning all those items. He promised to clean, but never did.

In 4 month inspection mentioned items and Warranty manager agrees to fix them and also replaced our Garage door. I have mixed experience with Morrison homes.

After 1.5 years of purchasing house, my shingle on the roof is ripped off (There was no storm and any of house is my neighborhood is affected). Morrison homes person is mentioned me they will not help as 1 year warranty is over. I can understand 1 year warranty is over, but any of you are buying house need to learn the quality of work done by Morrison homes. No one is expected to spend for house repair work within 1.5 year of new house.

My suggestion is better to spend some extra money with good builder, rather than getting pain and stress later.

Their warranty department is very attentive but without any action. I have problems with washroom granite and garage door, they come but never fixed it. Warranty department person only fixes any handy items, not more than that.

Sales lady do not pick call and don't answer the voicemail. I have checked other neighbors (who are with other builders) as well, they also have few or similar problems, but their builder either changed or fixed them. I fill very frustrated that it was not worth to pay this builder (by looking at this builder is #1 in Calgary). I don't recommend this builder to anyone, specially for post possession problems, as you never know about it.
