We hired Al Parsons Electronics (Garage Doors) after getting a few quotes for a new installation to replace an older door and hardware. After an unexpected delay, they sent someone to complete the installation. Al Parsons brought the incorrect decorative door hardware and had ordered the wrong window insert. They had also failed to inform us about the damage they would be making to our door frame, thereby requiring us to purchase more products from them. The job had not been completed the first time as they had to re-order the correct parts/products. A couple months delay later, they showed up to remedy the initial installation problems and to bring the correct parts and products. Causing some damage to the new door, it was finally installed properly, even though they required us to make the adjustments to their installation. Would not recommend this company as the owner refused to acknowledge their errors or to follow up with us - ever. Very disappointing. Some of the screws installed are already rusting (within 30 days of the installation).
I had a very good experience when Parsons installed a new garage door opener. The installer had to raise the door and spent 2&1/2 hours with all that was required. The installer was professional and I thought dedicated. Great work. Thank you.
Thank you Peter. We appreciate your business and comments.
They put in awnings for my back windows. Installer and installation was good however certain types of product wear and company sales/service is very very slow to respond. You have to keep calling and calling to get a response. Need to improve client response times in sales.
I had a new garage door installed in my two-car garage, and had a gear-kit replacement done for my old door lifter. I also asked for a new transmitter and remote.
The work that Parsons did was fine. The door works well and was installed well. But the installation took over a month and a half. First they installed the door, but it wasn't quite done. Then it took them a week to come back to finish the door installation. Then it was another couple of weeks before they changed out the gear kit, so in the meantime we had to open and close the door by hand. When they came to do the gear kit, the installer knew nothing about the request for a transmitter/remote. Finally, six weeks after the initial install, I received an email saying that my lifter was too old simply to have a new remote, but they could install a new receiver on the unit and program a new remote for that. This is what I initially thought I needed, but it took them six weeks to figure that out. And in the meantime, I got a replacement remote from Home Depot for my brand of lifter, and it works fine.
So: good quality service, but they need to fix their follow through.
The garage door opener didn't work properly in the beginning, but as soon as we called them, they came out and fixed everything free of charge. WHen they couldn't solve the problem, they even replaced it with another unit. The staff were also very nice and courteous.
