Otto's Masonry

From start to finish, it was a pleasure to deal with Otto's Masonry. The - very reasonable - quote was provided quickly after my request, I always received a prompt response to my e-mailed questions, and they were happy to accommodate my timing for when the work would be done. The guys who came to do the work were friendly, courteous, and professional. At the end of each day, everything was completely cleaned up. And the final concrete walkway along the side of the house looks perfect! I would have no hesitation in recommending Otto's to friends, family, or strangers!

It was fast and easy to do business with Otto's Masonary. The quote was quick and then they fit me in when they had cancellation as the work was just one day repairs. But the work was great, the stone mason who came was polite and professional and he cleaned up everything before he left. I couldn't ask for a better or simpler transaction. Its not always easy to get companies to do small jobs. I highly recommend this company

Service was prompt and accommodating (as after initial quote, we added a job). Once date set for work, Otto came day before to check job and then returned after work complete to inspect. Everyone we dealt with at Otto's was friendly and courteous. Ii would highly recommend them. (A month after job was complete, we needed a new roof. The contractor commented on the nice work done on the chimney.)

Our back concrete porch was cracked and leaking into our cold storage room below. We had patched it twice before but it always started leaking again. Otto's solution to our problem was perfect. They put down a Blueskin lining on top of the cracked concrete and then put a thin layer of concrete on top of it. The concrete was laid 3inches thick right by the house and then it graduated down to an inch so that any water just pours off the porch. The workers were very diligent and did a great job. No other company even suggested this solution. The cost was a third of what other companies quoted us. Thanks Otto!

Otto's team was knowledgeable, helpful and quick to respond. They came and completed the work and were quick to come back when I said I wanted a bit more tuck-pointing done on the front of my house. The work was done in the early winter of last year and everything has held up through spring into summer. I have and will continue to refer business to Otto.

It is unusual that I hire I company and they stick to their word and their team is personable, flexible and knowledgeable. This is what I experienced with Otto's Masonry.

Originally I was quoted for what I thought my building/home would need but after the team began working on it they found that I needed more work than was first expected. My building is from the 1880's and sits in downtown Toronto and because of its location and age it had been painted in the late 90's. In short order I quickly found that the paint was actually holding some of the bricks together. So Otto came by personally to meet me and see the situation and made a deal with me for the extra work. His deal was very reasonable! I knew the work had to be done and I know I had to be flexible if the work was to be done well and Otto worked with me and came up with the final plan of action.

From Brian who quoted me, to Nick and Jason who did the work, and finally to Otto who came to inspect -- every single aspect of this job was done professionally and with high regard for the owner.

The complete team was polite and helpful. And when I asked for a few things cosmetic to make me happy they just did it. What a rare working experience with contractors.

Extremely happy with their service. Showed up at 7:30 every morning bright and early and was done within two days. Friendly and professional staff. Was given a quote, and that's what I paid. No surprise extra charges at end. Will definitely use them again.

I emailed Otto's Masonry and was quickly responded to by one of their estimators. The quote was surprising reasonable so we moved ahead with the work. Badir came out and worked his butt off all day - kept me in the loop on the progress and was very professional. He kept a tidy work area and you can tell he was a true tradesman as there was pride in his workmanship. I asked Otto to quote on fixing my front steps. His quote was very reasonable, and his team showed up very timely and they ground and re-mortared the stones and bricks on my front steps. As a result I have steps that look completely like new. Near the completion of the job, Otto came by and verified the craftsmanship of his team, made a small adjustment himself that I think made a huge difference, and in the end gave me an awesome end product. Otto replace my old cracked uneven sidewalk with a new sidewalk that beautifully takes the water AWAY from the foundation of my house. He even sent his guys back to re-install my gate. Very clean, professional workmanship and very easy people to deal with. I would recommend without hesitation.
