Trugreen Lawncare

My experience is as bad as most of the other reviews here -- dead grass, lots of weeds, no response to many complaints about the bad results.

My lawn is now the worst in the neighborhood. I realize from some of the earlier posts that some of the grass may have been killed by their improper fertilization.

I also appreciate the warnings here about automatic renewal, so besides demanding a refund for the full-season program for which I paid in advance, I will make sure my cancellation is well documented.

The only positive thing I can say is that the technicians who did the 4 visits were polite and friendly.
On the other hand, they were here and gone before I know it -- they could not have taken much care.

I had Trugreen recommended to me by a neighbour. Their work was alright, I had no complaints, but I did notice quite a few marketing calls looking to upsell me on services of things I had never heard of. The next year when I went to renew I noticed that their price was over twice that of their local competitor. If I thought that the marketing calls were bad before (5 or 6 last season), they are much worse after you cancel!!! Stop spending so much on your sales team bothering people on the phone and get serious about making people want to hire your services. I will be sticking with the new company that I hired.

I signed a contract with them for 2018 lawn care for my property in Oakville. They have done nothing at all and my lawn is worse than what it used to be. Till date they haven’t even delivered the welcome package forget about the work. I have requested a manager call back a few times but nobody ever called. They only do formality stuff and show there face for 30 seconds. Please don’t waste you time and money on them.

They have ruined my lawn, they ensured me that my lawn will be weed free but it’s Not true and now I am asking for a refund and no response. I have to call to remind them for a treatment. Will never have them again on my lawn and also do not recommend them to anyone

Signed up for their service. After 2 applications no change to the weed. Several weeks later, after complaining a couple of times and being promised that someone will come to look, I've had enough. DO NOT BUY THEIR SERVICE. BURNED SOME PATCHES ON OUR LAWN!!! WEEDS REMAIN AND HAVE FLOURISHED!!

SALES REP TELLS UNTRUTH AND PROMISES EVERYTHING!

What an absolutely horrible company! No wonder they have terrible ratings and reviews! We had a sales rep named Dan come to our door from TruGreen offering us lawn care service (spraying weeds and putting down fertilizer). We told Dan we did not want a package but were interested in having them come out one time. He said that was fine and if we were happy with the service, we could call to enroll in a package. They came out one time (did not schedule an appointment with us) and left us a bill for $52 at our front door. A month later, we noticed another bill at our door, however, this time it was for $118. The bill stated "sorry we missed you". My husband and I were both home and our car was even in the driveway! We called customer service immediately and was told that they had been to our house 3 times now. We told the lady (Adelaide) we did not consent to a package and did not even know that someone had been to our house another time, as there was no bill or lawn sign left. We said if we had known they came again we would have called earlier to discuss this matter. This was also very concerning to us, since their receipts even say to not remove lawn signs for 48 hours and not walk on the grass until it is dry. However, we did not even know anyone came! Adelaide kept telling us that the company does not offer a one time lawn maintenance package and that we signed up for a seasonal package with 5 visits. We kept telling her that we never signed up for it and wanted to speak with a manager. She told us that a manager would call us back in 2 weeks as all the managers were out of the office. We said that's completely unacceptable and we refuse to pay this bill since we did not consent to this package. She finally agreed to cancel our account but said she cannot do anything about the outstanding balance and we would just have to wait to hear back from a manager. What a horrible and disgusting company, and just like a ton of other reviewers posted, our grass is also dead and burnt now!

You people have burned my grass and you know it, what is going to be done about this?
I have spoken to Adelaide about this situation and I’m being ignored. Adelaide keeps giving me the same line “ the supervisor will call you”
What kind of business do you run?
This is no threat it’s s promise my next note will be to better business bureau.

In mid-April, I was told by Trugreen sales person, if I have a contract with them for lawn care, my grass will be like a golf course.
I signed the agreement and paid all fees in advance.
They showed up 3 days after and looked at my lawn for 2 minutes then left.
Now after one month they did not come at all. They were suppose to visit us for 7 times between April and October but they dont show up.
So our grass is untreated after 35 days that they charged me in full.
Do not approach Trugreen.

I can do the same job far better and far cheaper.
The public relation part is very good but the work they do is not satisfactory at all. What they do is very superficial, few times I was home and completely surprised how fast they got in and out.

cost of this is rediculous. They hound you for a 56 dollar payment.
I will not have them again. Twice now i hired them on and quit. Work is not good!
