Torwin Windows & Doors Ltd

While this is our first review written about Torwin, this is actually the 3rd job that Torwin has done at our house. Torwin's first job at our house was to replace our rear patio door back at the end of 2011. We were so happy with their workmanship, service, and price that we had them come in and replace 2 windows in our bathroom in the summer of 2012.

For this latest job, Torwin came to replace our front door. As always, the whole process from consultation to installation has been great. On the first visit to our house, Jody (one of the owners of Torwin) took measurements of the door and showed us available doors and options. He listened to our requests and outlined what he thought were the best options within our budget. We appreciated his candor and honesty. Once we had made our decision on the type of door and style, we signed the contract and Torwin immediately put in the custom order for our door. As soon as the door was ready Torwin called us promptly to arrange for an installation date. Their installer, George, was punctual, did a great job, and was neat and tidy. The final result was a beautiful new door.

What keeps us coming back to Torwin is their ongoing commitment to service. We had a few minor issues with the previous installations for our windows and patio door, and as soon as we made Torwin aware of the issues, they immediately took charge and dealt with it. This level of aftercare and service is something that unfortunately is not seen often enough these days.

On the recommendation of a friend, I provide Jody's contact info to one of my three brothers over 10 years ago. Since then Torwin has replaced the windows for my other two brothers and several of our family friends. Two months ago I moved into a resale that needed new windows. The only company I even considered calling was Torwin and as usual they did not disappoint. Jody, Evana and Cassi are excellent and very helpful, while Tim and Tony who did the installation are professional and do excellent work. My wife and I are very happy with the job Torwin has done and our family will enjoy our new windows with inter graded shutters for years to come. I have already recommended Torwin to another close friend and will happily continue to do so without any hesitation. The job was priced fairly, installation was started per the agreed upon timeframe and was completed on time. If you need new windows, no need to shop around, save time and call Torwin, you will be happy you did.

My boyfriend and I just recently purchased our first home together. Being new to "home owning" and having decided to upgrade all 6 windows in our house and a patio door (on a budget), we were cautious. We had numerous companies come into our home to give us quotes and we asked alot (alot!) of questions. Torwin (our last quote - although I wish jt was our first!!) answered all my questions before I could even ask. Jody came over to give me a quote and spent quality time discussing options and helping me understand the business. He showed me pictures, told me the difference between different kinds of windows and qualities of windows, etc. I can confidently say that Torwin absolutely exceeded all my expectations. The quality of their work is unbelievable. Their customer service (Cassi and Nick) was amazing. I was always being communicated with. The installation was so smooth (Fritz and Mike). They were personable and left the house cleaner than it was when they came in! Absolutely no damage to any part of my home (as I thought there might be with such a large renovation). The windows and craftsmanship is fabulous. They pay attention to detail and care about your home. The price was the most reasonable of all the quotes (especially for the quality of the product and service). And comes with great, transferable warranty and after-installation services. If you are looking for a committed, dedicated and experienced company (not a "here today, gone tomorrow" company) then I highly recommend anyone to use Torwin for any project - small or large. I couldn't be happier with Torwin for helping make my new house into a warm and comfy home. Thank you to all their staff.

On the recommendation of a friend, we retained Torwin Industries to provide 3 sets of new Terrace Doors and 2 custom wood entry doors. The Terrace Doors were aluminum clad on the exterior and wood on the interior with each set being 67 inches by 96 inches, with glass centres and decorative mullions at the top and bronze Baldwin hardware, including large flush mounted bolts at the top and bottom of each fixed door. The custom wood entry doors were a main entry door of 42 inches with beveled glass side-lites (70" X 96" total ) and a side entry 36 inch door (36" X 80" total). Both doors were entirely custom in every respect and made from 2 1/4 inch African Mahogany with Baldwin hardware. The Terrace Doors were sourced from Golden Windows and Doors out of Kitchener and the Entry Doors were made by custom millwright/carpenter, Brad Gilker. Our sales person at Torwin was Rob Lawson and he was assisted by Nick Figliano and Cassi Crevier.

From start to finish, our entire experience was nothing but professional and the products supplied were of the highest quality. Torwin and Brad went out of their way to ensure that we were satisfied in every respect and in every detail. We sought other quotes for the work but Torwin was, by far, the most competitive compared to traditional suppliers of comparable products (i.e., Pella and Anderson) and the pre and post delivery service was prompt and reliable. We would not hesitate to recommend Torwin to anyone needing custom entry or terrace doors and our doors are now the envy of the neighbourhood.

After a long journey of dealing with apathetic door companies who took no effort to follow up and differentiate I happily came across Torwin after a desperate request for a referral from Antique Hardware (hat tip to them).

Antique Hardware rescued me from this nightmare...I had recently hired a craftsman to make me a door, but he decided that I asked too many questions and was insulted that I would not buy a door from him without any samples of hardware to show me. After driving across half the city checking out his recommendations I gave him the thumbs up and he hung up on me. Nice.

So in comes Torwin. Knowing AH to be the premium hardware dealer in the neighbourhood I trusted their recommendation for Torwin and I was delighted by (most of) the experience.

From the initial consultation with Rob in sales who knew his product well, to Nick the project coordinator who was promptly on the job post-sale, to Cassi who followed the order and communicated effectively with me, to Fritz the expert installer they all worked together as a team to deliver great service. There was a hiccup (installer had to come twice due to a miscommunication on one of the hardware boxes with their supplier) but all parties were apologetic and quick to make good on their service commitment.

Project took 7 weeks from sale to install and price/quality ratio was excellent in my opinion. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Rob & J.P. & their master carpenter did a great job in completing our replacement of our rear door & storm door & transom & also expertly installed a new concrete foundation at a new level to accommadate a drainage problem we were correcting. They made sure everything was right & Nick & Cassi did a great job of co-ordinating everything from the office.

The experience was pleasurable and informative from start to finish and the results far exceeding my expectations. I decided to visit the showroom to see Torwin's selection of windows and doors as it was the first time I had purchased this type of product. I had a wonderful experience learning and testing all the products. It was important that I understood how the items were going to work in each room of my house. I am not that strong and it was critical that I could open, close and clean all the windows easily. The follow-up visit to my home was arranged at a time convenient to me. No question was too small and I was left with lots of information to review to make my final selections. I purchased a custom made door and the team at Torwin made it a painless process. The installation date arrived when promised. The installation crew were very pleasant, clean and fast. None of my plants, floors or interiors were damaged. When I decided I didn't like the trim they had started to install - no fuss was made in changing it on the spot. The installation crews attention to detail and willingness to take the time to review everything with me made them a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this company.

Fantastic! I am so impressed. I deal with a lot of trades in my line of work and I would have to say that their commutation, delivery and quality surpassed my expectations. Their office staff kept me informed the whole time, the sales staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the installers worked quickly, left no mess behind and even showed up early! I honestly can say that will be using Torwin again in the future!

Fritz, the window installer who ordered and installed mythe windows was a true craftsman. My older home gave many challenges which he expertly overcame. He gave great advice when I was selecting the windows and took the time to do an excellent job on the aluminum around the windows outside, and the wood frames inside. And Torwin exceeded my expectations for getting the job done in a timely fashion.

This was the second time we had used Torwin Windows and Doors. We we emailed to have Jody Crevier come to our home to give us a quote. He arrived on time; listened to what we wanted; and made thoughtful suggestions. The quote was $2700.00 and the price did not change during the final measurements or the installation. Our windows were installed within the time frame given to us. The installation went very smoothly and my house was left clean and neat. I was contacted by the company after the installation to see if I had any concerns. I would highly recommend this company.
