My wife and I needed to have floors installed on the 2nd floor of our new home before we moved in, on a very tight timeline. We needed to know that the company we worked with had a stellar reputation (check) would provide the finest quality floors (check) would complete the job at the time promised (check) and be a pleasure to deal with for a fair price (check) Fortunately we found Roy, Dov and their team. From the moment we said yes I had no doubt whatsoever that Roy and Invision would deliver on their promise and they didn't let us down. If it were possible to give more than 10 stars we'd happily do so. Our floors look amazing, we are beyond thrilled with the outcome, and I would recommend Invision to anyone with no hesitation. Hire Invision and don't worry about a thing!

My wife and I had been in the market for new hardwood floors, and stairs for months. We had visited multiple hardwood retailers, had a few in home quotes, went back and forth on species (from Red Oak, to Maple, to White Ash), board width, finish, etc.

We met with Roy relatively early on in our search, and we felt very comfortable with his recommendations and input. Roy patiently worked with us as we kept changing our minds. Hardwood flooring can be a pretty big investment, and we wanted to ensure we were confident with our choices. Roy was able to provide input on what the finished product would look like (contrasted against our wall colours), proper board width for our house, and all the other details that make an installation look beautiful.

The installation was completed on time, with care, and with no hiccups. Roy was in touch with us throughout the installation process, and followed up afterwards to ensure we were satisfied.

We are very happy with the end result. We ended up doing the entire home except for the bathrooms, kitchen, and basement. We feel that the input from Roy really pointed us in the right direction. Our Wire Brushed, Ash floors (Shadow stain) floors and stairs look amazing and have transformed our home.

I approached Invision hardwood with a project a couple of weeks before i am taking over a new 2 bedroom condo unit in downtown Toronto. Based on the measurement I sent Dov, he was able to give a fairly accurate quote on what the overall re-flooring was like given a rough measurement provided by me. The actual visit happened on a Friday(the day after i took ownership), with Dov taking the actual measurement and adjusting the quote given the difference in expected square ft. It was also then that we discuss about the possibility of a painting job for the unit. Both the reflooring and full repainting was done in the following week, much to my surprise. The floor and painting was done to my satisfaction.

This is my second time dealing with Invision and these guys never disappoint! I am extremely happy with their service. With every renovation, there are a few (or more) bumps on the road and these guys sure know how to make the ride smoother! There is a true sense of team, where if one is unavailable, the other will be an immediate back-up. The response is always prompt and positive.

After erecting a 4 season sunroom last year we decided to refinish the flooring throughout our home to tie the sunroom into the living area. Both Dov and Roy patiently worked with us to select the right floor being mindful of my wife's sensitivities and allergies. The installation proceeded on time on budget without a hitch. Dov's installation crew went out of their way to accommodate our needs during the process enabling us to stay in the home during the renovation. . The results are spectacular and beyond expectations.

Dov and his crew just finished our final hardwood installation. The job was perfect, finished on time, and in line with the estimate. The crew was professional, and left a clean work area. The flooring and the new baseboards are beautiful. We have used--and will continue to use--only Invision for our flooring.

After having met with several well-reviewed hardwood flooring/stair companies, we decided to hire Dov and his team at Invision to put in hardwood on the main floor as well as staircase. The quote we received from Invision was neither on the low nor high end but from the initial 3+ hour meeting we had with Dov at the showroom, we were quickly able to tell they are experts in all things hardwood and it isn’t hard to see why they’ve been in business for so long. While we had a pretty good idea of what we were looking for, Dov gave us many suggestions based on his experience and ultimately helped us decide on the final details. Not once did we feel he was trying to “sell” to us; he recommended different products based on our description of what we wanted and while he did tell us what he thought would or wouldn’t work, he left us to make the final decision, emphasizing whichever brand of wood we chose from the showroom would look great because they choose to only deal with quality wood products from manufacturers they’ve had a relationship with for years. There were a couple months from the time of the initial meeting and home visit to the scheduled installation date but Dov provided us with updates along the way and the job was able to start as planned.

The entire job itself took approx. a week and a half, in line with the estimate we were given. The trades made sure to put their tools to the side at the end of each day but we felt a better job could have been done to clean the area up some more (we ended up having to vacuum the sawdust after they left each day). On a daily basis, my husband (who is the definition of a perfectionist) would inspect the work done and complain about things he felt could have been done better (eg. gaps, unevenness, paint/stain, squeaks, etc.). Because this was a retrofit, we understood some of the issues could not be resolved (eg. uneven floor) but Dov went above and beyond to address our concerns where he could and even spent hours himself working on our house. I have no doubt that other companies would have just brushed off the concerns and told us these things are normal and expected with construction. Dov could have easily done the same but he chose to put in his own time and effort to make us happy, which we really appreciated because in the end we were satisfied customers. It’s unreasonable to expect that a job such as this would run smoothly from start to finish with the end result being “perfect” but when you’re looking to renovate, it’s nice to know that the company you’ve hired is responsive to your concerns and willing to do what they can to meet your expectations. If you’re looking to have any hardwood work done, I’d recommend Invision. Thanks Dov for all your work!

I contacted Dov at Invision Hardwood after speaking to a few different companies (a few well reviewed on Homestars). From the first conversation I knew I was dealing with a very different type of "salesperson." Right from the get go I was given a lot more info and insight about options we were considering (and very respectfully I might add). I knew right away I was not "being sold" but was instead speaking with someone who was truly interested in my job and how he could help. He put me in touch with his partner Roy and we made arrangements to meet at their store. Roy proved to be equally as informed, informative and helpful in providing ideas and options. Ultimately, we ended up going with Invision to lay new flooring throughout our main floor and second floor. They did an outstanding job on all fronts. From walking us through the wood selection, to committing to and sticking to timelines, to impeccable work throughout our house, my husband and I could not be happier. There are a lot of companies out there competing for this business but if I had to point to the thing that tipped the scale in favour of Invision, it would most certainly be the way in which things were communicated throughout the process. Roy was responsive, explained everything thoroughly at every turn, and stuck to each and every promise he made.
