Leather Sofa Set

I wish I had read these reviews before going to this store. I bought a set of leather sofa from this store. What I have gone through at the hands of Bobby and his staff is appalling. The metal studs on the furniture have rust on about half of them. The exchange were even worse which indicate a very bad storage at the company's warehouse because you can actually see marks of moisture on the leather. Bobby tells me the rust that I see is not rust but finishing design. As if I am dumb! His staff refused to give me his phone number and it took me a registered letter to ask for refund for him to contact me, after 9 working days, including the long weekend. Bobby hangs up on me when I called him to resolve the issue and he tells me I should take him to Court because he will not refund my money for the defective product. I think we have just began a process which Bobby has no idea how much it will cost his business. Just stay tuned. In the meantime do well to stay clear from this store and also spread the word around. A word to the wise is enough.

Do Not Go To Furniture Giant in Scarborough

Everything that everyone has written above is exatly how we feel-i wish I had read this before we made the move. I went to the store in scarborough, they are messing up with the delevery date, as I am writing this, am waiting for it. Having read your comments, I don't know if we will receive it, and if we do, would it be the in the same quality as seen in their store?? why are such business still oparating in a country like Canada?? It's now been 3 weeks that we are waiting for delivery...Am gonna fight for my money if things turn bad.....to be continued!!!!

Leather sofa recliner 3 peice set

I'm not sure if I should be outraged or not. I went to furniture giants on kennedy rd on boxing day and purchased a 3 peice leather sofa recliner set. Beleive it or not they delivered right on the date they said they would and the furniture was in good condition.
However it's not the same model as was on the floor of the store and when I went back to the store the next day the floor model was gone.Now I paid $1600 for the 3 peice set and I am happy with it for the price I know I didn't get ripped off at the same time I'm not stupid and I believe the floor model was of slightly higher quality and probably costs a few hundred dollars more. Of coarse the manager tells me that the item he shipped me was infact the same model number but it's the new design and that the factory no longer make the floor model.
I believe that they deliberately mislead me to get me to buy their product but I also believe that for what I paid I got my moneys worth.

Bedroom Furniture Set

Never in my life have I had such a terrible ordeal as the past 2 months in dealing with Furniture Giants on Kennedy Road in Scarborough. This company sold us an 8 piece bedroom set that came delivered in the wrong colour. On top of that, the 2nd piece (footboard) that we opened up was damaged. In addition, they messed up the delivery date which completely inconvenienced us to no end while we were right in the middle of moving. The Salesman told us that we could definitely have the entire set in a specific colour that we wanted which turns out was a complete lie because we later learned that it only comes in the floor model colour. The Store Manager is beyond rude and only sides with his staff. Once they had our money, they refused to refund it or exchange for another set without paying a huge upgrade fee. At first they agreed to exchange for another set with an additional $50 delivery fee, and then later tried to charge us an upgrade fee of $300. Their Customer Service definitely deserves an award for being the absolute WORST IN THE GTA!! They are very polite before they have your money and then become rude, unprofessional and impossible to reach when you try to get it back. They completely misrepresented their product to us. Two months later and we still have not received our money back. Save your money and pay the extra $100 to buy from a reputable company.

Bedroom Set

Very poor customer service. Although the price was right, there are definitely other competitors running maybe a $100 below/above their pricing. The cannot hold up their end of the bargin when it comes to delivery. They had notproblem checking to see if I had completed the payment, however when it comes to getting what I paid for, this has been the worst nightmare. Not only did I have someone take the time off, loosing salary for work, to receive the funiture, but then at the last minute the delivery gets cancelled. Then I get promised the next day delivery, that did not happen. Holding my patience, I get promised the next day delivery again, this time by the Manager Bobby, and I am still waiting for the furniture that was to be delivered between the hours of 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Spoke with the driver, he seems to think that this is all a joke, as he then tells me that my delivery was schedule for 4:00pm, after which I call back the office to be told that my deliver was schedule for 5:00-8:00pm. I have given the company an ultimatum, and requested that I be refunded in full (cash) if the delivery is not there by 7:00pm today. I will update on this delivery. I would never recommend this company be used again. Spend the $100 more and get the better customer service.

Sofa Sectional

On June 10, 2006 we went to the Mississauga store. We decided on a model that would suit us, but we wanted choice of colour and fabric. This would be a custom job, and we were told it would take 6 to a maximum of 9 weeks. I was content with this arrangement.

On August 31st almost 12 weeks later phoned, asking for the manager to call back, as I had not received the goods. After futile attempts to reach a manager, a sales clerk would look into it and say that it would be two more weeks..."I promise, please be a little more patient." At the time I asked the manager call me back and confirm this info. Never got the call.

Two weeks later on Thursday Sep 14 I called to inquire again and asked for manager. I left 3 messages. No return call.

On friday, Again I explained to a sales person by phone that I was promised, that the sofa set would be ready. This guy would spend a half hour researching this, and looking for the original invoice (probably burried under a desk). He advised again that it would be another two weeks, but could not tell me why there was further delay. I advised him this was unacceptable and that I wanted my money back. He begged I wait the additional two weeks, but I have had enough at this point.

Saturday I went into the store, and low and behold no manager, (or at least he was hiding out back somewhere). They refused to refund my money, and said "it will be two more weeks, deal with it".
Will finish the story in a few week

Dining Room Set

I cannot begin to decribe what a nightmare it has been to deal with Furniture Giants. Every piece of a dining room set had at least a minor scratch. More notabley there were 1-foot veritial splits in each of the right and left hand-side doors of the dining room hutch and a 2 inch piece of the top corner buffet was missing. They tried to mask this 'imperfection' with a tar like substance and did a very poor job at that. Despite all of this they still demanded (in a threating tone) full pymt upfront IN CASH!!! But perhaps even worse than the quality of the furniture, is the quality of the customer service. To say they are rude would be an understatement ie they are not shy about using every foul and profane word in the English language, when dealing with their customers. Please, let this be a warning to every purchaser out there - dealing with this company is not worth any cost savings they tease you with.
