Although Downtown Flooring carries quality products at competitive prices; their quality of installation is questionable at best. We recently had the floor of our home office replaced with laminate flooring. The team of installers, who spoke limited English, severed my phone line as well as they installed the floor in reverse order, from window to door threshold, leaving a narrower plank of laminate as the first piece flooring which is visible when you walk in the room. When I arrived home and noticed the inaccuracies to my new floor. I immediately called Downtown Floor and I was informed that the installers would be spoken to and I was offered a floor cleaning kit as compensation. To date, no one has offered to come out to see the completed job or to offer any financial compensation for the poor quality of work. In business today, anyone can carry a quality product; however it is the level of service and the integrity of the company which generates repeat business. Sadly to say, Downtown Flooring will not be on my referral list for future business.

I found Downtown Flooring online and discovered I could save nearly $1200 compared to buying things so we did not table payment option and even managed to arrange locally in North Bay, but was nervous about buying over the phone. Greg came up with more than one suitable payment option and even managed to arrange it so we did not have to drive into downtown Toronto. Everything was in place to make pickup a breeze and it could not have gone any smoother. I was very impressed with their service and highly recommend them to out-of-town buyers.

The sales staff was very patient with me – I visited the store 3 times and spent many hours making my selection. I knew I wanted a very environmentally friendly product, and Downtown Flooring offered their knowledge and advice, assisting me every step of the way. Even though the floor I chose is a wide-plank, custom Canadian Maple, it only took 2 weeks to come in, and it was installed within days. The delivery and installation crew was always on time, professional, speedy and talented! I would recommend Downtown Flooring to anyone who wants to feel good in their space and is looking for a truly customer-centric company to earn their trust. Downtown Flooring is a winner!

I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for hardwood floors. The showroom staff are very courteous and knowledgeable and their pricing is very competitive. The installation crew showed up on time, were very professional, and did an amazing job installing the hardwood. I give this company a 10 out of 10. Great work!

If you are going to use this company you should be on site to supervise the installation. The installation went quickly but the installer did not leave the recommended spacing between the wall and the floor. Six months later our baseboard began to separate from the wall because the floor had no room for expansion.

We actually had two projects at two sites that needed to be done on tight deadlines since we were moving from one of them to the other. Stefan and everyone he used made it happen. Even though there were a few challenges with the crew who refinished the stairs and railings at the new house, I still give Downtown Flooring a 10 because Stefan stayed on top of things, including personally visiting our home, and in the end the result looks great.

We saved money by doing some of the work ourselves (removing old floors, etc.). I especially appreciated the advice and suggestions provided to ensure our work and theirs was well-coordinated.

I would definitely use them in the future if I had another flooring project.
