Crawford Appliances & Air Conditioning

I have to think this must be a case where satisfied customers are not posting their experiences. Our dishwasher lock broke and I have called Sears in the past but my mother-in-law recommended Crawford. I called and they were very polite and more importantly, accommodating. There was no 8hour window I had to make myself available for- she did say it was easier to accommodate because I lived very close by. I did call, Sears to compare, and they were 20% more expensive for the
flat fee + they charged nearly double for the parts. Crawford was able to see me 2 days after my initial call, it took the guys 30 mins to fix, plus he spent 15 mins chatting with me about tips on maintence. The actual repair guy was a pleasure to have. For something that is always a huge inconvenience, this was a seamless, smooth experience.

Terrible Customer Service! It took me following up to find out what was going on with getting a quote and when I did they added parts that weren't even discussed with the repair man. I escalated it and the delay to the Service Manager who took over two weeks to return my call and apparently that is acceptable to them. He said "he's not customer service" and that he left it with them - yet customer service kept telling me they were trying to get him to call me. Apparently he's a Crawford representing the family business. A fine example of a manager and owner when he tells an irate customer "I'm going to count to three". Deal with them at your own risk - they pocketed the fee and refused me a refund for the terrible experience. He kept telling me they aren't Non-Profit. He wasn't cluing into the customer service side of the business.

The actual repairs guys are very nice. Calling the office, getting them to return calls and booking an appointment - is just too painful. The woman makes you feel like you are putting her out when you can't accommodate the time that she offers. We used them a number of times in the past but something must have changed within their office. I will not use them again!!!

Ice machine only worked for 6 months and they told me the manufacturer only offers 90 day warranty so I was out of luck. I had been a customer for over 15 years. Never again.

Terrible company! horrible customer service, expect to never get your phone calls returned and to get your things 2 months later with something in your order missing. I would not recommend this store to anybody

Poor service:
We have asked Crawford technicians to check our fridge. We clearly indicated that the compressor performs fine and provides.cooling. We ourselves suspected that the relay could be a problem and we have alerted of this to the technician. However, he has ignored our comment; instead, he has concluded that the compressor has seized, suggesting we buy a new fridge.
The Crawford technician was either a grossly incompetent, or he simply did not want to bother repairing our fridge.
Suspecting the poor diagnosis from Crawford, we have hired another technician to confirm the status of the fridge. Having now replaced only the defective relay, we are now happy to say the fridge works as new.

If you must deal with them, get everything in writing up front. They also botched the delivery date - after promising everything would be delivered by our move-in date, we're still waiting for the range to be delivered. And the dishwasher is sitting in a box in my hallway - three days after it was supposed to be installed. The fridge is installed but the water line is sitting in a coil on the floor. My kids are getting a little too accustomed to take-out thanks to the broken promises of this company. How much do you have to spend to get decent service these days?

I had a probelm with appliance under warranty and it took approx. 5 different phone calls to get an appt booked for service.

After 2 cancellations by service man (they told me they depend on this man solely)and after I had to use a planned day offf work - not able to go out etc they called on the same day and cancelled.

Finally when he came (I sent a photo by email so they would know what part) he arrived with nothing to rpelace damaged part.

Thsi meant another booking (day off) and when he finally came back he brought the wrong part!@!!!

Only because my daughter was hoem for a couple of days I was able to get it done as I didn't have any more day offs to spend waiting.

I would not buy from this company in future as I would be very upset with service as it is. I had previously pruchased all my appliance from this Co. and I do have to rebuy in near future as I purchased a new home. Wouldn't go there!

Greg proved to be very knowledgeable and helpful. He has been in the family business all of his life and knows his stuff.I bought 5 new appliances from him and expect to purchase several more.

He has a great sense of humour as well.
