This place is a disaster with respect to both quality of blinds & service provided.
I placed an large order for romans & wooden blinds for the whole house. Four of the romans turned out to be a different fabric then I had ordered at the store. The service staff clearly remembered what we had ordered but refused to acknowledge their mistake while placing the order Then we realized all the romans (7 blinds) had a technical design problem - the curtains kept falling off the bracket. Futher the romans folded very clumsily looking untidy and ugly. A problem also developed with one of the wooden blinds which did not open completely.
After much silence, delay and contacting customer service repeatedly which has worked at a snail's pace the blinds were repaired ( it took 3 months) and were finally installed a couple of weeks ago. They have not fallen off again but still look shabby in the folding of the fabric when the curtains are raised. Also the manufacturer/store manager remains remain totally silent about the incorrect fabric provided.
Overall poor quality of materials and technical design flaws in product. The whole experience made me feel as if they did me a favour by being their customer and repairing the blinds for me!
On a positive note the private blinds installer they recommended to install the blinds turned out to be courteous and helpful.
I read the reviews and was warned, but their price point is good. The company has screwed up the valances for my blinds and made no effort to repair or replace. If you have a small space, small budget and high tolerance for bad customer service, shop at blinds to go. Otherwise, stay away.
I have nothing good to say about this store!
We ordered 10 small blinds and it took over a month from putting the orders to installing the blinds. Until now, we still miss one blinds not coming yet.
I put 2 orders to 2 different houses. After the measurements, I didn't get any call to confirm the order. I went the store TWICE then they confirmed the orders.
Later when I picked up the blinds, it turned out they missed one! Unbelievable!!! No other choice, I put another order for the missing one. Because we requested the installation service, I was told that when the missing one is ready, the installer will pick it up and install for us. I thought it will be fine, we just wait.
I got the email the missing order is ready to pick up 11 DAYS AGO! Nothing happened. Until yesterday, I called the installer ask what is going on, and he said no email informed him the blinds is ready....
Until now, we still miss one blinds...
I am SOOOOOOO disappointed by the service....
Installer wanted to come last week and when I said I was working he asked me to work from home (???). He just left. They look great, but the installer told me at the last second that he wanted $40 cash or e-transfer for removal of the old blinds. This took him about 15 seconds to do, and I was never told about this fee or I would have had my husband take them down last night. Am not paying that and called BTG directly, where I found there is a massive disconnect between the company itself and the representatives they send into your home. Shady business practice and I will never order from here again.
After spending over $1500 at blinds to go the staff made a mistake on a $100 dollar blind. I have been given insulting responses and lots of the run around but not a blind that is the right measurement or a refund. I am 40 and this ranks as probably the most disappointing customer service I have had the displeasure of experiencing.
The initial measurements I provided were noted correctly by the consultant. I returned home to verify the width and then returned to the store to confirm and place the order. The new width measurement was added to the order. However the length was copied incorrectly. At installation I noticed the mistake and returned the blinds to the store. After discussion of our shared mistake, I was offered a replacement cost of $450.00 as the sale price I received was no longer in effect. I was willing to pay $225.00 but this was refused. I now have 3 useless blinds and a distrust of this company's commitment to customers service.
It's been three years that I've been trying to get my blinds corrected. I would never recommend Blinds to Go. I would recommend that they take some serious customer service lessons. Blinds to go are terrible to deal with. Take the money and run should be their moto.
