Our first heating day of the season and the furnace was blowing cold air. We contacted Binnie Mechanical (who had installed our furnace) and Dave personally phoned us back immediately and made arrangements to come out within 2 hours to help. Dave was fantastic and quickly diagnosed a blocked drain hose which was preventing the furnace from cycling properly. The Trane furnace was doing its do job properly by activating the safety sensor due to the blockage. Dave even showed us how to prevent this from happening in the future. Thanks Dave and Binnie Mechanical for the prompt service call and quick results. We are super pleased with your service and our Trane furnace. We would highly recommend Binnie Mechanical for anyone needing a furnace or A/C.

On a scale of 1 - 10, I would rate Binnie Mechanical an 11. I had them come to my home because my AC unit wasn't working. I assumed that, since it was 20+ years old, that it needed to be replaced. The first thing Dave asked was, "have you tried to repair it?" I had not. He said, "let me have a look". 15 minutes later and an inexpensive repair, it was done. My AC unit was up and running. I moved into a house last year and brought my gas BBQ with me. I thought it would be easy to get a gas line installed for it especially since the BBQ's location would be pretty close to the existing gas line for the stove.

I reached out to a gas line company highly recommended on this site and only received short messages back saying basically "we don't do that"?!?!? I was very confused after reading their reviews and looking at their site. Anyhow, I reached out to my good friends at Binnie who I have used for HVAC many times over many years.

Pat was great and helped to set up a date - even though they were really behind this year due to the late end of winter. Nonetheless, the guys showed up on the agreed upon date. Paul looked at the way the stove gas line had been installed and indicated that it wasn't going to be as easy as was thought from the pictures I'd provided. The source line was too small to "T" into so they would have to run a new parallel line. I gave the go ahead and they started their work.

Paul and his helper (Steve? Sorry!!) worked hard at getting the new source line run from inside the house to outside and then the new line secured to the wall outside over to the new shutoff near the BBQ location.

When they showed me the work they'd done, I was extremely impressed at how clean a job they'd done with the new line outside the house. They also took the time to clean up the line previously run. VERY nice work and right in the ball park of what I was expecting for the full new line and new shutoff.

The people at Binnie have always provided high quality work whether it be HVAC installs or servicing - or other things such as running a BBQ line. And I give kudos to Pat, Dave, Paul, Steve (?) and all who I have dealt with over the years - and often in a pinch...they were the ones to help out.

We are "second generation" Binnie Mechanical / Oakville Home Comfort customers. This company has replaced heating, cooling and air cleaning systems in my parents' home, as well as in our previous house and current home (2018). Before that, they helped us with maintenance and repairs to get maximum life out of the old, aging furnaces. We are consistently happy with the customer service we receive, and the quality of Trane products, and have referred many friends who say the same. We recommend Dave, Paul, Pat and crew without hesitation.

We were recently travelling is South East Asia, when we got an email from our house sitter that our furnace was not working. Our house sitter contacted Binnie Mechanical, who promptly came to our house and temporarily repaired our furnace. But most amazingly advised us that there was no need to send any credit card information and that we would settle up on our return!! In this day and age I found this to be quite amazing. Upon return I commentated Dave Binnie and set up a meeting, it was decided we needed a new furnace and Dave drew up a very competitive quote and two days later the new furnace was installed. Dave also walked us thru the rebate process so that we were able to receive the Union Gas Furnace rebate.
This is one outstanding company to do business with and I would highly recommend them.

My old 60% efficiency work horse furnace died this Mar. Called Dave to get quote and price . He showed up with six electric heaters to help until installation. On agreed date he showed up with furnace and air conditioner. Dave and Paul did a professional job of installation,cleaned up nicely and left. Dave is a real professional and took a large amount of time to explain all aspects of our purchase. Would recommend for anyone wanting an HVAC system installed or repaired by a dependable company.

We have dealt with Dave Binnie for over 20 years ...always willing to,make a service call, very fair and honest to deal with...great company. He is always very frank in advising what he feels the life expectancy is on your furnace and air conditioner which allows you to budget accordingly.

I bought a high end furnace and AC unit (Trane) and Binnie mechanical installed it for me. I couldn't be happier with the care they put into the installation; not just ensuring everything was done properly but also taking into consideration the aesthetic value and offering opinions.

Called Binnie Mech when furnace pilot light would not stay lit. Dave and Paul showed up A.S.A.P and fixed the problem pronto. I was impressed with the quality of communication and repairs. I would recommend this business for any service needs.
